forum search filter broken

hi, site search ignores filters, see screenshot, makes it difficult to find an older thread by subject only:

Definitely not broken. You're just not using it correctly. Have you tried the "More Search Options" tab? 

You can search by Author, by category, you can add tags to narrow the seach etc. 

I get exactly what i'm looking for when doing a search.

search offers subject and body, but subject only setting also returns results where the text is in the body, so seems broken to me (and having to dig into the more option makes it a hassle) i suspect it's a web thing they've referenced the wrong selection, suspect it's an easy fix

Lucky you.  It doesn't work for me at all.  I attempted to search "audio" and search did not move.

Lol. why would you think you did? 

I just meant cant just search Audio and expect to instantly get a topic you want. 

 That's what I meant by "So many things wrong."

It gives me exactly what im looking for.  Will do some screenshots from the Laptop later.

so i tried again selecting title-only:

the result set is incorrect as it includes content hits:

and the filter selection is shown as watching in content titles and body:

 

i suspect it's browser-specific, i'm using firefox

You need to select Topics and choose your category.

It depends in which category the search are done under the "SEARCH IN TAB " 

If i know what im looking for was posted in the Q&A forum, I choose that, including the approximate Date Created. So if you choose the wrong date frame it won't give you exactly what you're looking for. 

You just need to mess around with it to figure it out.
