Audio drop outs when playing samples/audio files

schnibbelkram

Question

Hi folks,

i have several voice samples and also a drum sample in my recent project. When the voice samples are played back in the project, they have audio dropouts, and i mean only the samples, not the rest of the project. And when the drum loop is played back, it has some serious timing issues from time to time. How can i fix this? What is  the problem. Everything esle works fine, also the audio files i recorded directly into Cakewalk.

Install the latest drivers for all of your hardware (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates)

If that does not work, then give us some detailed PC specs and we might be able to tell you where to go from there.

My Specs :

I have a 2 TB SSD hard drive, so this shoud not be the issue.

Win 10 Home

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 MHz,

16gb ram

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti

Audio device Steinberg UR22

I updated the driver for the GeForce and reinstalled the Steinberg driver. Same issues...

Edit : Just downloaded "Driver Booster" and it updated alot of drivers on my PC, but the probem remains...
