PavlovsCat 1,540 Posted December 14, 2021 I recently came across some of your books from early versions of Cakewalk I had in storage, @Scott R. Garrigus. I think it may be time to move on, recycle and just focus on your writing for the latest version of Cakewalk! Thanks for sharing, I've always enjoyed your writing and am looking forward to the new articles.
Scott R. Garrigus 165 Posted December 14, 2021 Thanks everyone! Glad to hear you like it. Feel free to spread the word around the Cakewalk community. I'm currently commissioned for a set number of articles, but I'd be happy to make it an ongoing thing. Let's get as much traffic to the articles as possible to show MusicTech that you want more. 🙂

I would have been back at the beginning of this year, but COVID hit me and my family hard. I was sick for a while and we lost my Dad to the disease. 1
InstrEd 3,827 Posted December 14, 2021 Sorry to hear about your family Scott. Hope you're not suffering long term covid. My wife is a nurse and she has experienced patients with it and she basically says it is nasty.
BassDaddy 835 Posted December 15, 2021 Sorry to hear about your Dad. I really liked your writing on SONAR also.
Scott R. Garrigus 165 Posted December 15, 2021 Thanks, guys... I appreciate it. Yeah, my problem afterwards was severe fatigue, but I'm finally feeling normal again and back in action. 🙂
AndyB01 333 Posted December 15, 2021 Good to hear Scott, I had one of your Sonar books back in the day, and very good it was too. I'll definitely have a look at the articles. Hope you make a full recovery and I'm sorry for your loss. Andy

I had Sonar software from S1 up through Sonar Platinum for life, and only skipped a few updates. The Sonar Power series was like the "missing manual". 😉 Edited December 16, 2021 by abacab

abacab 5,367 Posted December 19, 2021 Hey, @Scott R. Garrigus have you seen the new E-book publishing arrangement that Craig Anderton has established with Sweetwater? They might be seeking more music tech authors!

abacab 5,367 Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) And I forgot to mention that I also have the Sonar X3 Power in the Adobe Digital Editions formatted E-Book. Much prefer that to the paper books! Easier to find topics with the direct linked TOC and index. However doesn't look quite as cool as sitting on the bookshelf... kevin H 1,856 Posted December 19, 2021 May I suggest an expose about this deals forum that is so juicy that will definitely get picked up by Netflix for a limited series. There is mystery, intrigue, drama surrounding certain threads like IK group buy, and maybe murder(?) [okay maybe just my over EQ’ed mixes haha]. Thanks for the articles…
