Everyone loves my avatar but not enough people buy nighthawks to keep them in production.

You can't say I'm guilty of that.

While I'm up loading pictures... My wife calls them the grand kids. I call them the rhythm section and the vocalist.

It's there already isn't it?

I thought Studio One 4 was one of the first DAW's to use ARA 2...  AFAIK that's what the chord track uses to do its magic.

If that's true (and I thought the same thing), and Cakewalk just implemented ARA 2, could a chord track be far off within Cakewalk ?😍

Tell me about the one on the left - how did you end up with full sized, non-slanted pickups in there?  What pickups are in there now, and how are they wired?

Its a 2010 model and that's how it came. 2 Burstbuckers and a ceramic single coil in the middle. 5 way switch with coil splitting on both buckers. Buckers are never on at the same time.

A chord track would great to have in CbB

I agree with Magic Russ on the SO4 transport. It needs to be moveable. (I also love that Nighthawk Avatar)

That's one of the things I hated about Mixcraft too.  They have the transport right there in the center.

Wow.  I like this update more than 4.0 - lots of great functional updates (plugin manager, waveform improvements, etc.).  I was concerned that it was all things EDM from here on out, but there's a number of big improvements for instrument recording, CPU efficiency, etc. in addition to the MIDI updates.

Cakewalk has had Mp3 export since before dinosaurs. Most of it looks like a typical update punch list.

Some of these revisions are so deep a few users might need to relearn  workflow plans."  Customizable Channel Components in Console".Isn't that what the PC has done for a long time? They expanded on macros. This is great for the guy who does the same thing day in and day out. "Software gain"?  Most plugins have a gain control. CbB has gain on each channel and gain can be had in the PC....not sure what they mean by "software gain". I am impressed with the whole chord app built into SO. They have expanded on that. I want to look at that more deeply sometime soon.

And you know....I'm kinda thinking out loud here, I really hope these new functions aren't easy to accidentally engage or disengage. Have you ever been working on a large project and somehow you hit or tap a key  accidentally and everything goes wonky. On some of the more radical functions I wish DAW makers would make the functions only accessible from a drop down list. Keep that "blow up Manhattan" button buried in the sub menu.
