James Argo 104 Posted May 15, 2019 Can we have volume and pan slider on Track folder that worked relative to the volume of each tracks within? I know we can send the tracks inside folder to specific bus, however if Mute, Solo and Arm can make it to the folder, why not volume and pan as well? It will be very convenience for our workflow without assigning new bus for the folder. Thanks & warm regards! James Argo
msmcleod 1,910 Posted May 15, 2019 You can kind of do this already by selecting the folder, then using groups: Now moving any of the faders or pans, will move the others relative to your movement. If you want to adjust one in isolation, just hold down the CTRL key while your doing it.
James Argo 104 Posted May 15, 2019 Awesome trick bro, however having Volume and pan on track folder will be better since we have empty space in track folder interface. Just an idea to save few click of grouping.
Manfra 0 Posted July 11, 2020 I have the same question... Could anybody answer?
Josh Wolfer 94 Posted July 12, 2020 Not a bad suggestion. Basically turning track folders into DCAs. I personally just bus everything that should be bussed together and then you get the same functionality, but with the extra flexibility of the bus (such as plugins) 1

Doug Osborne 4 Posted July 15, 2020 I may start a thread about this, but Pro Tools, after being a decade behind Cakewalk with Folders, has now lept ahead. Put tracks into a folder, and it acts as an advanced Bus or Aux track, with tons of routing and control options. 1
