How to Upload Tracks as MP3's

Recommended Posts

I want to upload some tracks to a music collaboration site, but the site only accepts mp3's. I've tried a few different things but nothing is working. Can somebody tell me how to convert my tracks to mp3's? Thanks.

The easiest way is to use the Export module:

export_mp3.gif

Or, if you want to export individual tracks as individual mp3's:

export_tracks_mp3.gif

I did that the other day only to discover that SoundClick now accepts waves. 😡

I tried the first method but couldn't find the project in my files after the mixdown. I'll try the second one. Thanks.

After trying the second method I was able to find the mixdown in 'Recent Files' on my computer, but it says the project no longer exists and won't allow me to move it to a different folder or upload it to the crowdsource site.

Just my opinion here but You shouldn't need to have to go to recent files. You should have a directory pre made for exports.

Create a folder called "Mixdowns" in your documents folder. Navigate your exports there.

Sounds like where ever your default is set to/where ever your putting them on the export menu, might be sending the files to a place restricted by User account Control. Also make sure the .ext is there...   .MP3
