Izotope Product Portal (definately not a deal) [They fixed it]

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

For those (like me) that use the Izotope Product Portal to update their various products ........ don't bother opening it up and updating to v 1.4.2.

Apparently there is a permissions issue with the said installer and it will only install/update itself in Windows safe mode ! Which basically renders it unusable.

I was advised by their chat line to wait for a further update to the Portal software.

Cheers,

J

Izotope should pull it instead of leaving it for others that don't know. SMH

In these Windows 10 times, posts like this are very precious.

I hate to break up the love fest, but I'm not sure that this issue affects everyone. ūüėß

I am running 1.4.2b1649 Win10|64 without any issues. It self updates as needed anytime I launch it. The last update I had was was from 1.4.1 on July 13th.

Yesterday, I upgraded an Izotope  product and added the license using the Izotope Product Portal without any problems.  I'm also running  rev 1.4.2.1649.

My Windows 10 is version 1909 which is a bit behind.  Could the problem be Win10 version dependent?
