Daniel Crothers Posted June 17, 2021 Share Posted June 17, 2021 I want to start setting the gain at zero for all my tracks and need a gain or trim p[lugin and also VU meters I'm new to using them in my mixing. Fixing the volumes of each track to 0 DB and having the VU meteres to look at. Nigel Mackay Posted June 18, 2021 Share Posted June 18, 2021 You do not want to set the levels to 0dB. When you add them together you get a lot more than 0dB - ie clipping. Go to the tutorials section of the forum and look for gain staging. Audio and instrument tracks have built-in VU meters. Audi and instrument tracks have gain knobs to adjust the levels.
