I managed to pick up MSpectralDelay, Diffuse and Nebula as freebies, as I sure many here did. B|*

A cut down version of Diffuse called Microfuse is available with Computer Music magazine.

Hi. Little Alterboy is a favorite for doing creative stuff, along with Brauer Motion from Waves and Noveltech Character (PA).

I also find delays fun to work with, in parallel/sends and automation.

All the best.

And here's a few other fun toys, some are even freebies! :D

Cableguys PanCake2 [freehttps://www.cableguys.com/pancake.html

Glitchmachines Fracture & Hysteresis [free] https://glitchmachines.com/

Melda MSpectralDelay $99 https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSpectralDelay

NI Phasis (part of the NI Mod Pack $69, but was a time limited freebie) https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/effects/effects-series-mod-pack/

Soundspot Nebula $39 https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/10-Delay/3867-Nebula

Surreal Machines Diffuse $49 https://www.surrealmachines.com/product/dub-machines-vstau/

ValhallaFreqEcho [free] https://valhalladsp.com/shop/delay/valhalla-freq-echo/

I think MSpectral Delay, Nebula, and Diffuse are probably my favorites after Blackhole and ObjeqDelay.

And don't run out and buy any of those just yet! I got all of them for free at some point, by paying attention to cclarry's Deals! Well, all but Blackhole and ObjeqDelay, but I still got great deals on those two! Thanks   @cclarry ;)

Yes, Hysteresis and Fracture are so fun to use! Whenever I want to make/experiment with random sounds I just take those two, and go nuts 😂

I also liked Soundspot Nebula, especially its LFO and Flanger/Chorus modules. It was on sale in Pluginboutique a while back just for a dollar, but I didn't opt to buy it, so I only got to try the demo. But it's a cool plugin :)

I also love to play around with saturation (Halcyon from Soundspot too, the free Softube one, which is also included in Cakewalk, as well as the Tube Saturator ProChannel module and others); and distortion (the free FuzzPlus from Audio Damage).

There's a few others, but I can't remember for now 😊.

If you have Reaktor, you could get MoleKular, which is a bit expensive, but it includes stuff made by Zynaptiq's Denis Goekdag from the older Kore Deep series.

Thanks for the tip about Molekular. I’ve had it since I bought K10U almost three years ago, but I don’t think I’ve ever used it. After reading your post I put Reaktor in the effects bin and ran some simple tests. Molekular might be a hidden gem, but it definitely requires some R of TFM though.

Z3ta2 too. 🙂 Reailly... it's an experience.

That it is. In my case the experience has usually been one of a trying to use a synth that keeps crapping out on me and I got tired of having to fight it all the time so I stopped trying.
