QuadCurve EQ Solo mode [SOLVED]

Bill Phillips

Question

Does the QuadCurve EQ have a "solo mode"? Not sure that I have the right name. I'm referring to clicking and dragging in the EQ spectrum panel to solo a filter that follows the mouse pointer. I've tried CTRL, SHIFT and ALT + click with no luck. I thought it did but couldn't find it in either the online and PDF documentation.

HI:)

Not possible, but there was an utility called Duckbar which did add Solo and Mute Buttons to the Flyout window, when I remember correctly.

Not used this for a long time and I think it will not be refreshed anymore....(Panu was the programer)

Here one of the latest post from "panup" i know:

Perhaps you can find it here?

Good Luck;)

Thanks Bassman. I saved that second link but I probably won't be able to find it when I want it. 🙄

Hi guys,

I am developer of Duckbar.  I have not maintained it for a while because Cakewalk has finally got many of Duckbar's essential features natively (Theme Editor, automatic waveform cache management, Tap Tempo, etc. And there are other utils available for the Tools menu editing. QuadEQ solo button is yet to come but that's not big enough feature for me to invest a week full working days to make updated Duckbar version. So currently the Duckbar project is on hold...

It doesn't have such a mode. The "solo" and "mute" button supplied by Duckbar was, I believe, to be able to solo or mute the entire track, not just a single band on the EQ.

You need a 3rd-party EQ to get that feature. Fortunately my favorite one, MEqualizer, also happens to be free to use, along with 36 other plug-ins in its bundle:

MeldaProduction FreeFXBundle.

Thanks. I have MEqualizer as well.
