selecting midi

Question

Hi, I've recently upgraded to Bandlab from VS 100. I went to reload VS 100 back onto my PC after it was rebuilt but couldn't find the product code [unbelievable!].  So thought Id give using it a go anyway by selecting VS 100 in midi in & out. I could play my work files, but not record. I've just bought a Beringher interface but am unable to play or record & noty sure what to do from here. Help.

I'm not sure what you are saying. When you say you upgraded to Bandlab, do you mean the Bandlab App or Cakewalk. Huge difference.

And what the heck is VS 100? I have no clue. is it software or hardware, Google gives me a dozen things that it could be.

If you are using Cakewalk and a Behringer interface you need to follow the instructions supplied with the interface. It's very simple.  If you're still stuck,  visit the Tutorial sub forum here and watch the appropriate videos on basic set up.
