Cakewalk accelerate midi track

Hi !

I'm really sorry to ask this silly question, but I've been trying to solve this problem for hours and nothing has worked. When I import a midi file (from my Roland FP30 with USB stick), the software speeds up the whole song for no reason.

Is this a settings error? Thank you very much for your valuable answers!

Does it also speed up when you open the midi file instead of importing it?

ADDENDUM:  The import v. open issue comes up at times in the forum.  Here's a recent post that might help explain the "speed up" issue:

Dragging MIDI into CbB is an import function.

CbB Import strips tempo data from MIDI files.

Opening MIDI files preserves MIDI tempo data.

MIDI file save and export include MIDI data.

to add a quotation related to the tempo ["speed"] issue; to add a link to documentation
