AAS Apple M1 Updates

We are writing with important compatibility information about your AAS products—please read through.

We just released updates for our entire product lineup with support for Apple’s new M1-based computers—see list below. These updates also include bug fixes and enhancements so they are recommended for all users running Window 10, OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or later.

– Lounge Lizard Session 4 v4.4.0
– Objeq Delay v1.3.0
– String Studio VS-3 v3.2.0
– Strum GS-2 v2.4.0
– Strum Session 2 v2.4.0
– Ultra Analog Session 2 v2.3.0
– Ultra Analog VA-3 v3.2.1


Use the custom “all” installer available from your Registered Products page to update all your products in one fell swoop. There's no need to uninstall before proceeding with the updates.

ATTENTION—On both Macs and PCs, we are no longer supporting 32-bit operating systems or DAWs. The updates above no longer install 32-bit files.

ATTENTION—On Macs, we are no longer testing on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) and prior. The latest updates above remove 32-bit support. That means that projects using 32-bit plug-ins will no longer load correctly. DO NOT update if you need 32-bit support.

ATTENTION—On PCs, we are no longer testing on Windows 7 and prior. The latest updates above no longer install 32-bit files, but 32-bit files are not removed from your system. That means that projects using 32-bit plug-ins should continue to load correctly—please use the 64-bit plug-ins in any new projects.

On both Macs and PCs, if you need 32-bit support, you can use the versions listed below. These are the final versions with 32-bit support; they will remain available via the Downloads page if you require them in the future.

Note that Chromaphone 3, String Studio VS-3, and Ultra Analog VA-3 never had 32-bit support.

I keep wondering is Apple new chip that great or is it partly because of TSMC 5nm process.    Looking forward to how AMD next Ryzen mobile will perform on 5nm process from TSMC.   We might finally get a X86 laptop with 20 hours of run-time and powerful too!
