I'd need to take the drives out and make them unusable first.  I really miss that degausser at the radio station I used to work at.

i have a degauser for tapes still.

Does it work on hard drives?  I am a little jealous.  😊

I have a degausser too. I'll try it on my HDD. If I'm not back in 5 minutes you'll know it worked.

Maybe I should think this through a little more. 🤪

Whoa!  Just stumbled on this!

Original ADVENTURE game on 8" floppy for "only" $599.99!

I should still have a couple 8" floppies saved in storage for kicks.  Heck, one may actually have the original ADVENTURE game since I helped port it to the HP (from Unix) back in 1978!

"A hollow voice says 'PLUGH!'"

We had a CP/M based microcomputer in our ops center in the 80's that was dedicated for some network management tasks. On night shift we would fire up Adventure on that. Seemed amazing at the time... 😉

Based on that price the HD in my car would have cost $13,592,000. 😀

I grew up in San Diego and a friend worked for this company.  I remember laughing at this ad because who the heck needs 10 MB of storage anyway???  I waited until the price came down to $910 and bought one...  *Sigh...* 🙄

This is how I feel about SSD prices over 500mb.
