Recommended Posts

This version contains the following improvements and issue resolutions.

Issues resolved

Fixed an issue where zooming or panning gesture on Apple MacBook trackpads
kept going because of momentum.
Unmixing stems on projects with a sample rate lower than 44.1kHz no longer
renders the application unreliable.
Deleting a time range selection at the beginning of a project, then performing
another action and undoing it no longer renders the application unreliable.
Importing a second layer by drag and drop, then performing an action and
undoing it no longer removes the imported layer.
Editing both mono and stereo files in ARA mode no longer plays files from the
active project only.
A new entry has been added to the menu bar in ARA mode that displays
notifications such as the availability of a new maintenance update.

Screw Steinberg. I bought SpectraLayers because I could soft-license it to my PC. No dongle. I'm moving to a 220V country and needed to replace my desktop with a laptop. The ONLY way to move the SpectraLayers license was via the dongle! Not.

Upgraded my Acon Digital license for Acoustica Standard to Acoustica Pro.

Turned out that I much preferred Acoustica to SpectaLayers anyway!

I punted on all of my Waves plugins. I'd been WUP's enough. Now, no Steinberg software will ever find a place in my system, either.

you should be able to move licences from soft-elicencer to soft-elicencer ?

https://www.steinberg.net/en/support/knowledgebase_new/show_details/kb_show/soft-elicenser-sel-faq.html#reactivation

basically a 'reactivation'

didn't that work for spectralayers elements ?

Would have been nice to know a couple of months back. Too late now. Happier anyway.

:)

shame to avoid a particular developer just because you didn't know you could transfer the soft-elicencer - you should still be able to do it even if you don't have the original pc/mac that had the licence - as long as it was registered in you mysteinberg account.  It's a pity to not use it ?

There are hundreds of things that I hate about Steinberg...especially their poor communication and support...but cubase/nuendo/spectralayers/wavelab etc are extraordinarily good (just my opinion obviously!)
