Brian Walton 801 Posted February 24 (edited) I know the local activation lasts for 6 months. However, I was shocked to get a refresh activation notification (13 days left) yesterday. When I download and install an update, I'd expect this to refresh the activation automatically. Clearly it doesn't work that way since I always run the most current version within days of release. This month being no exception. So my feedback loop would be that if someone is installing an update which clearly requires phoning home and connecting to the internet, that reset of the clock should happen automatically. Granted my real feedback woudl be to remove that 6 month limition all together, especially for those of us that paid for lifetime updates in the Gibson era. But I realize the team might not want to hear that. Edited February 24 by Brian Walton
Jesse Jost 532 Posted February 25 Thanks for reporting. Cakewalk already attempts to refresh activation automatically, the idea being that you don’t ever need to be prompted. But there may be edge cases in which this doesn’t occur, or a regression was introduced... we’ll look into it. Jesse
