e-cue Posted February 22, 2021 Share Posted February 22, 2021 I've had the VCL-25A a long time. It's excellent. Lowering the threshold on it makes the knee softer and lowers the ratio. With the threshold wide open, it's a saturation plug in. It reminds me of an RCA from the jump. The VCL-373 is smooth and thick. I suggest you demo these quickly. I got the VCL-4. I was never a huge fan of the hardware units compared to the LA3A, LA2A, etc... Seemed like a deal I'd regret passing on, so I copped it with all the other ones on sale.
