With zero latency and two simple pitch and formant controls, you can easily track, mix and perform hit-sounding vocals instantly. Vocal Bender is the fastest and simplest way to getting “that sound.” Yes, you know the sound. Travis Scott’s deep-voiced ad-libs. Billie Eilish’s other-worldly vocal doubles. Frank Ocean’s pitch- and formant-shifted lead vocals. The high-pitched vocal topline in every EDM drop. Vocal Bender will quickly twist your vocals for the sounds of modern pop, hip hop, R&B, electronic and many other genres. Real-Time Vocals Vocal Bender works in real time, with zero latency. We made this tool for musicians and producers to get your ideas down quickly; there’s simply no time to waste when working creatively. Vocal Bender allows you to track through the plugin, so you can hear the effect on your voice in real time. You can even use Vocal Bender live on stage for performances. Pull it up on your live DAW session and manipulate your concert vocal sound, without latency, as subtly or extremely as you’d like. Two Knob Solution We created Vocal Bender to get you results, fast. There’s no routing, tweaking, chopping or complicating required. Simply get your hands on the two knobs, PITCH and FORMANT, and you’ll have hit-sounding vocals in seconds. Don’t be mistaken, Vocal Bender is not a one-trick pony. With these two controls, and the under-the-hood modulation features, the vocal FX palette you can create is practically limitless. The plugin also has a ‘flatten’ feature to lock into a single pitch and sound robotic. Make your vocals move between genders, change age, sound miniature or appear gigantic. On the subtle side, simply add soft harmonies, vibrato and vocal doubling for thickness. Modulate for Signature Vocals Open up Vocal Bender’s trunk to access musical modulation features. With a few clicks you’ll add vibrato, pitch drops, sequenced pitching, and more endless possibilities to the two knobs. These will bring a musicality and movement to your sound, and help you differentiate your style. Start bending your vocals. Sander Verstraten 378 Posted February 17 Is this new, or did they remove features from OVox and slapped a new skin on it?
Fret Flintstone 280 Posted February 17 Ovox is more of a synthetic vocoder type deal, they are different beasts. Having said that we should wait for the definitive word on all things Waves to turn up and give the final word, I'm sure he will be along soon 🥳
Monomox 470 Posted February 18 looks like a simpler version of AlterBoy

bitflipper 1,060 Posted February 18 It's just not for me, that's all. If you're doing contemporary pop, it might be quite useful.
Vernon Barnes 411 Posted February 18 I wonder how it would work on instrument sounds?
kevin H 522 Posted February 18 I’m curious myself as I already have Alterboy and Ovox....this video goes into a few more details. Modulation is interesting add. Not expected but doesn’t have pitch correction so this is one difference with ovox. So would need real-tune in same chain.

jesse g 633 Posted February 18 I have Sound Toys Little Alter Boy . If you already have that plugin, then Waves Vocal Bender will be a duplicate plugin.

Agree, beside the built in modulation, it’s pretty much a clone. Even the color scheme is similar. Little Alter Boy to me is smoother. But it you don’t have sound toys and make edm/hip hop and are on a budget at $39 it is cheaper than $99 for Alter Boy. Although no WUP with sound toys. For comparison, check out this video of a good example of Alter Boy (@3:30min) being used for modem vocals. May help someone decide:
Monomox 470 Posted February 19 (edited) Quote 77% off Waves Vocal Bender, now $34.99 instead of $149 These Waves people are so modest. Why not give this plugin a list price of $3,499 and say you're getting a 99% discounted intro price? Edited February 19 by Monomox
