Brian Walton 724 Posted January 18 (edited) Who can name the model of the Ampeg? Looks a bit like an SVT-CL to me, but not 100% sure. Edited January 18 by Brian Walton
TheSteven 1,581 Posted January 19 Looks like a Mini-Me to me. Don't know if I need one. Maybe it worked out OK for Dr. Evil but I don't got his mojo 🙁 1
mister_tea 118 Posted January 19 (edited) That one might be a one-off amp Ampeg made, an 11-foot tall promotional SVT, "The Beast." Ampeg 8x10s are big but not quite that big. Or it really is an SVT-CL stack and Dirk is really short. Edited January 19 by mister_tea

Seems that it was an amp they built back in the 80's for promotional reasons. They have fixed it up and will be at NAMM this year. The cab weighs 800lbs!!! OMG!!! mister_tea 118 Posted January 19 I wonder if @Peter - IK Multimedia and the AT5 team would be interested in putting their VIR capture robot on it for a hypothetical SVX3. At 600 IRs per speaker, at least 35 speakers... 21,000 IRS for one cab?
