Enzo 0 Posted January 17 My question could be elementary but i'm a newby about recording. If i have recorded a track and i want to play on it (following preceding track with headphone) using another track, i need to start "in time". First a should have a delay, to let me time to press record and start play. The only way to start in time is to see the track, but it is a tricky way. I think i have to play with a metronome, to set a frame to follow. Can i have some help?
msmcleod 2,057 Posted January 17 Drag the audio clip you're playing along to, to the time ruler. This will extract a tempo map of your audio. You can then use the metronome count-in.
Enzo 0 Posted January 17 Thanks, but what is the time ruler? Where is it?
John Vere 488 Posted January 17 You won't get anywhere trying to record audio without a proper audio interface. ASIO drivers are the only driver that automatically synchronize your audio recordings. An interface will also have direct monitoring so you can hear your playback tracks mixed with your mike or guitar input.

Hatstand 151 Posted January 19 Hi Enzo have you looked at the tutorials section of the forum, there are some great links to videos in how to use Cakewalk and a whole series in italian if that happens to be your language of choice
