How can I use my keyboard as a MIDI controller

Leo

Question

Hey guys,

I'm new to Cakewalk. On Ableton, I used to be able to use my keyboard as a midi controller. This was pretty useful to "test" the sound I was creating on my VST before I actually write something.

Right now on Cakewalk I have to go in the step sequencer and click the notes to hear what sound the VST makes. It makes things a bit more cumbersome.

Thank you,

Leo

You need to select your MIDI controller as a MIDI input device and then you can use it in Cakewalk to play your VST instrument.
