External Drumpad to Trigger in Cbb

Looking for setup help for an external Drum Trigger for use in Cbb. I'd like to map it to a floor tom but not sure where to start.

VDrum (TD-10 snare)---> Edirol 3 port USB---> Cbb VST Superior Drum 3

Currently tapping the external drum does not trigger any VST drum.

There are a lot of ways to do this.

Note (re)assignment may occur in the hardware or software.

In software it may be done before the DAW in something like MIDI OX.

Cakewalk has the ability to create translation tables in the Transpose MFX and Drum Map Manager.

Superior Drummer has a tool built in to maintain its own tables separate from the DAW.

First determine what data the hardware is sending.

This may be done by recording a few notes in Cakewalk and looking at the data in the event list view.

I'm not familiar with Superior Drummer but it should have MIDI map templates for most popular controllers.

It should most certainly have a GM (General MIDI) MIDI map template, and if you set both the controller and SD to send & receive GM all piano keys/ trigger pads should line up accordingly.
