Edi Siljak 0 Posted November 28, 2020 Hi guys, How can I reverse/change the phase of a mic (ribbon) in Cakewalk by Bandlab software? Many thanks for helping!
reginaldStjohn 103 Posted November 28, 2020 each channel strip has a phase button. pp 246 of the Manual
RBH 160 Posted November 29, 2020 You can't change the MIC phase - but you could change the phase of a track. cakes own Channel Tools plug-in has a number of tools for dealing with phase.
Alan Bachman 9 Posted November 29, 2020 While this is being asked - I am not sure what the best plugin is for this. Not all phase corrections, as I understand it, are based on a simple inversion.
Edi Siljak 0 Posted November 29, 2020 Hi, thank you very much. Yes, I was looking to change the track phase ofc. Yes I am also looking for a plugin for Channel tools plugin, but as I read a bit, seems it is ommited from CbyB? Any alternative for phase corrections? Edi Siljak 0 Posted November 29, 2020 Cool thanks! How do I open Channel Tools in Cakewalk please?
scook 2,481 Posted November 29, 2020 If running CbB 2020.08 or newer, Channel Tools should be in the effects plug-in list.
lapasoa 74 Posted November 29, 2020 I have an audio interface RME Fireface UFX II and for "change mic phase" I can check that in the Total Mix inside the RME. Different thing if you speak about inverting the phase of a track.
bitflipper 891 Posted November 29, 2020 To reverse the phase on a ribbon mic, you just have to turn it around.
