Purchase: https://www.amplesound.net/en/purchase.asp

Ample China Zheng is a new sampled virtual instrument based on a Dunhuang Guzheng - Purple Cloud. It's an 8 GB sample library with 13 articulations:

-Sustain, Natural Harmonic, Expression Tremolo, Straight Tremolo, Glissando, Glissando Up, Glissando Down, Full Bend (major second and minor third with speed slow and fast), Bend Up (major second and minor third with speed slow and fast), Bend Down (major second and minor third), Tap, Mid Speed Vibrato, and Slow to Fast Vibrato.

Special Guzheng bend system:

-Each string can be bent individually, while other strings are generating normal notes.
-When a string is bent, the status will be kept so it can be released when it is played again.
-The Advance Bend system simulates real instrument by modeling the change of sound such as timbre and velocity.

I would be probably interested to join group buy if any for this but I am afraid not this year.  Money spent or reserved for other things.

Sad that he made these "ilok"...that will kill it for many....

Not sure why you say this. I just installed 8 acoustic instruments and can play them just fine in the host app. No iLok required. I used the resident Ample Activation Manager which connected to my account on their website and activated the libraries that way.

These newer one's say that they require iLok.  The older one's don't.  I'm just saying what the specs say...

Well that stinks! I may have to switch over to OrangeTree to get my mandolin (in the plans for Ample Sound after they get their banjo done).

Guys, iLok seems to be required for their products which are Chinese instruments only (native to their own market). So no rule new product will get iLOK but only Chinese one.

According to Jason, iLok is only being used for the Chinese instruments; there are no plans to use iLok on the other instruments.
