EQ cannot adjust certain freq

Hua Xu

Question

Hi all,

I'm new to cakewalk and DAW in general...

I have a  simple two track recording, and was trying to adjust EQ using the pro-channel on the master channel.

However,   there are two frequency parts  (~8k and ~16k) that appear locked at 0 no matter how I adjust. All other frequencies will move accordingly, but these two always at 0. Same situation even when I apply pre-set EQ...

I wonder if something interferring the EQ, but I turned off all add-in and only have the pro-channel on the master channel.

What could be causing the problem?

Using identical settings in PC EQ as you show in your screenshot, I get very different results:

So, something isn't right. What version, and upgrade to the latest if possible, and retry in a new empty project. After a reboot.

thank you all.

I started over with a new project and it is fine now.

Might be some system glitch with the old project. No way I could get rid of the notchs that are non-existance...

thanks anyway
