jude77 314 Posted October 14, 2020 Some good stuff comes with Nebula 4 that makes it worth a look. You get a ton of reverbs as well as a few compressors and eq's. To me, Nebula reverbs and eq's are pretty amazing. There are also a few third party Nebula developers like Timp and Cupwise who offer additional components for around $25-35. Analog in the Box and CD SoundMaster also offer great libraries that are a bit more expensive. Also, Henry Olanga's giant libraries are now free. https://www.timpetherick.co.uk/ http://cupwise.com/?v=0a10a0b3e53b http://www.nebulapresets.com/?page_id=5174 https://cdsoundmaster.com/ https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/t/nebula/libraries/nebulalibrariesforn4

Grem 2,469 Posted October 14, 2020 I think I looked at this the last time it was on sale. I just looked and I have an account with them. Not sure if I wanted to just try some of their stuff and got all the freebies, or what?
cclarry 13,396 Posted October 15, 2020 I got Nebula the last time it was on sale...couldn't pass it up!

Inexplicably, I wasn't familiar with Acustica Audio before this year. It's a mystery to me now how I'd managed to overlook them for so long! Suffice it to say, it was after reading your post about getting Nebula the last time it was on sale that I became curious and set off down the rabbit hole. I bought Nebula a few days later and happily have been slowly adding to my AA collection with Acqua offerings ever since. But ever the procrastinator, I've still yet to go the third party route for Nebula options.

I really like Timp. He's been running a 20% off sale which makes his stuff very reasonably priced. He also offers all his libraries in 44/48/88/94KHZ which I find helpful. AlexB's stuff is excellent as well, but a tad more expensive. Hidden symmetry posted a link to azzimov's skins, which are exceptional and well worth a look.

The 3rd party programs are the best programs IMO. Better sound quality than the Acquas just more cpu & work involved since it's per instance. LAGinz 274 Posted October 15, 2020 I’ve downloaded the freebies over the years, and there are number of them I really like. Nevertheless, I’ve resisted going down the full rabbit hole, and will probably continue to resist. For me, it is really creatively liberating that I don’t have to worry about CPU issues with my current setup. To reintroduce some of those problems is just not worth it for me. Acquas are great too it’s just I always reach for TimP or Cupwise libraries etc., just that extra bit special. downside is they’re a pain to work with so I use blue cat patchwork to make life a bit easier as it remembers window positions when I have a stack of instances that make up the sound in a library if only selling acquas didn’t leave me way worse off ! Hidden Symmetry 926 Posted October 15, 2020 They have one of worse resell policies I ever came across. G. said back a few months ago they were working on a new one but it hasn't materialized yet. Keep in mind this is after we petitioned to have a resell policy in the first place. Prior to that there wasn't any! 1

While I love the Nebula sound, when I start adding instances it absolutely clobbers my cpu.
