Thanks guys.

I actually had Sound Canvas VA set up on the old PC with VSTHost (which looks a lot like savihost) for playing MIDI files outside of DAWs etc. It was a bit archaic in the way it operated though but not bad for free. 

I'm sure I have also installed LoopBe on my old PC for some other piece of software that required it, can't remember now.

I will investigate further, thanks again 👍
