Bela D Paravox X

Where's the beef?
How big is the sample set?  What audio resolution? Where's the walk through on patches?

It's hard for me to get a feel for what's actually being sold based on the product's vague demos and lack of information.
Feels like a small sample set of unknown quality inflated with effects that I would rarely use.
"each sustained vocal element has softly embedded sound designed textures such as icy whispers and ghostly breathe"
Meh - don't do a lot of Halloween or horror themed projects; and if you can't control the volume or mix ratio of these effects then double meh.
That such features are touted as major selling points instead of library depth or other features is concerning.

I'd love be wowed by a nice female vocal library especially if it fills niches left out in other libraries such as Heavyocity, Output or Realivox.
If so, hey - please take my money!!

Firstly, please try not to be so offensive. Perhaps a better approach would have been to contact me directly and offer kind suggestions of improvement or ask to how to download the Kontakt demo of the product? Did you miss that, Sir? When taking the time to review the product page, the reader will find complete details, a composers in-use audio demo and 2 out of the box video examples showing exactly what the product sounds like. We did not feel the need for a walk-though when our visitors may simply download the Kontakt demo and walk on their own. To continue, Paravox X is a sub set of a main product Called Paravox. Perhaps that was overlooked?

Of unknown quality? if I may say so, Bela D Media has been in existences since 2003 with thousands of users world wide, sold by all major outlets and multiple 5 star reviews. I think it's safe to say the quality is well known by the industry and again, download the demo and please be the judge. Contact me if you need assistance getting the demo.

Now with all of this said, I am fully authorized to and will gladly send you a NFR of Paravox or Paravox X in the hope to change your view. Our users, our press and our name (1 L by the way “Bela” lol) is extremely important to us and I personally will do what I can to see you in become a fan! It matters to us. I also just reviewed the page per your comments (thank you) and see that a word-press update has removed some data that was set in a toggle function. I will fix that ASAP.

Thank you,

Dawn Belardino

Hello Dawn!
Welcome to the Cakewalk forum.

My apologies if you found my post offensive (I can see why you might so I modified it slightly).

Thank you for the clarification.

It isn't clear from the Paravox X web page that you also have Paravox available (and that it is also on sale, 50% off at $59.99)
https://www.beladmedia.com/paravox/

Does either version require the full version of Kontakt or is NI licensing included?

I will happy to directly provide you some feedback.

First, I do understand that you would like to see a walkthrough.   That seems reasonable.  But on the other hand, Bela D offers limited demos on most of their libraries.  You get a few notes.  I think that in many ways that's better than a walkthrough.  What better way to decide if a library is for you than to play it yourself?  😀

A lot of you may not know this, but Bela D was one of the very first developers doing vocal libraries. Among others, Tarilonte got his start with them.  Their stuff used to be REALLY expensive and has appeared in a ton of movies.

To me the big thing is the quality of the recording and samples.  I realize that marketing for virtual instruments is focused on GB and number of round robins and velocity layers, etc., but I have a lot of libraries I love that have very small footprints, like Art Vista's Malmsjo piano.  Very small file, but one of my favorites.  And walktrhoughs have bamboozled me more than once.

I would recommend that people take the time to download the demo for this and other Bela D libraries.  In particular, I highly recommend you check out Diva Revamp, and of course,  Sora, which I made a video on.

Finally, I see that I jumped the gun on my post above.  I have Paravox,  but  Paravox X is a new instrument.  It's not an upgrade.  But if it's better than Paravox, then it's something very exciting.

Fist and for most @ TheSteven

I really, really want to thank you for the apology. It was not needed but very gracious of you.  I will apologize as well. I can get a little  "B word" defensive about my work lol You should hear what my day job boss says about me :-) Please feel free to contact and I will provide an NFR. The catch? Just love the sound!

@ The group

1. TheSteven was correct in saying there wasn't much info. It turns out that the Word-press 5.5 update is wreaking havoc on a a few million sites.
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/wordpress-5-5-issues/377851/

2. All issues on Bela D Media have been resolved. You can now see full details again.
* See for example: Paravox. All details are now visible again.
https://www.beladmedia.com/paravox/

3. Requirements.
Perhaps they too had gone missing do to the Word-press update? You can find requirements on every product page near the "Add to cart" and the main contact page also includes FAQs, and etc.
Presently all Bela D Media products require the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt. Our products do not include a Player/Engine/VSTi. Any Player/Engine/VSTi you may own from another product cannot be used. This includes the free Kontakt player or demo modes. Native Instruments Kontakt 4/5. Tested successfully in Kontakt 6 but not yet officially stated to be compatible.

4. 50% price reduction
At the start of 2020, Bela D Media implemented a permanent price reduction of 50% off. This will not expire. The reduction does make offering additional discounts a touch difficult but we felt it was the right decision.

5. @ cclarry
It's BeLa D, not BeLLa :-) and thank you for always sharing our news. It's very kind of you!

I spent the morning hunting down jQuery fixes for abandoned plugins.  The jQuery Migrate Helper plugin can help for now but won't solve the actual problem.  They keep saying Wordpress 5.5 is largely a success, but it's not true.

Would you be so kind to take a test look for me? I see the content now but a user does not. I believe he simply needs to delete cache. I have purged as well.

I'm seeing it (and I didn't purge any cache even) but I'm a desktop running real browsers (I tried Firefox Nightly and Chrome both work).  Web caching can be almost impossible to work out.  His ISP and/or one of the CDNs may also be responsible.  Usually I just tell people to try another web browser.  Sooner or later the cache will catch up.

ps. I just wanted to add - Bela D Media is a specialist in sampled voice. It's all we produce. Please download those demos :-) You can even try the Vocal Tools Audition packs @ $10.00 each and 100% of your investment may be applied toward an upgrade of the full S A T B Vocal Tools Quartet.

SPAM GIRL MODE OFF lol
Thank you, guys!

Sounds very cool - are the whispers separate instruments/patches, or are they baked into the vocals?

Thank you :-) and see pic. There is also a video playing only the pure samples.
Please visit the site. FYI - the only thing heard in the 2 videos that is NOT Paravox X are the low bass drones. Just wanted to make that clear :-)
