Voodoo Labs power adapter

Friends,

Passing on a good experience with a company and a product.

Was working on a church project for the local heathens and going thru their audio setup, there was an older Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus. Needed fixing so contacted company support. Same day feedback and took care of the issues quickly, courteously, professionally. So A+ for service.

I had never plugged in one of their regulated power supplies, so decided to hit the hardware with the mother of acid tests… the dreaded E-BOW…

The E-Bow as many know is a black hole of 9v radio batteries. No problem, just modify with an external adapter so you don’t overflow the landfill with dead batteries. An adapter works, but filtration of hum and noise is next to impossible to get rid of.

Power Pedal was about as silent as a battery, first time in 30 years of having the E-Bow plugged into the wall and sound like it is supposed to.

Did some homework on power boxes and saw several brands for cheaper, but what was missing in the budget brands is true isolation of the channels. They claim isolation but it is mainly a buffer between channels so something fizzling away in one can spill over into another. The Voodoo Labs unit provides true isolation and some neat features not seen elsewhere.

Here’s their website:
