With Splice you still pay for it, just in installments, whereas at that Best Service link I posted previously you can actually demo Ivory and other sample libraries, for free, before buying. Afaik only Best Service offers that, and I don't think it's offered for every single library out there but quite a few it looks like. They call it "Session Booking."
