That VST Buzz Blakus cello may very well be excellent, (I've never tried it), but not to be confused with Embertone's Blakus cello for $99:

The VST Buzz cello is 70MB, while the Embertone version is 8GB (if you install both the 16bit and 24bit versions).

yes - it's the same cello and player.

actually there are things I prefer about the free version - it has a bit more buzz from the bow.....

Full Kontakt is worth having JUST for the free Libraries you can get
like the Sonokinetic ones, and a plethora of others...and you can get
it cheap by getting the Seinnheiser FREE drums, and then crossrading
to it!  I don't know why any serious music maker wouldn't have it.  It's
a staple of music production just about everywhere.  Granted you can do
fine without it, but you can do a lot better with it IMO!

Am I the only one who doesn't own FULL Kontakt?

I don't own it either.

Not a fan of the interface, and while it does open up a lot of good libraries, even on super sale it isn't exactly cheap.  (I think about $125-150 is as cheap as it gets??)

If I was a MIDI nut or keyboard player, I'm sure it would     be worth it.

MIDI instruments are typically just filler in most of my work, and    there are plenty of good ones (and cheap) that are not tied down to the NI software.

^^^THIS^^^

Which I mentioned in my previous post, but used Drum'ica as the example

Yup, or wait for one of NI's 50% sale on Komplete...... Best part is you'd get not just Kontakt but also Realtor, Massive, FM8, Absynth etc. And you'll also get some beautiful Kontakt libraries like Grandeur, Gentleman, Maverick, Una Corda, Giant, etc. Not to forget the effects. And Guitar Rig5 too. Even though it is trashed quite a lot, I personally find it really useful for quick practice and even for recording since it had got some brilliant FX
