No audio output at all when starting up Cakewalk

Hey I just installed cakewalk and I found out that every time I start it up my entire laptop just stops producing any kind of audio output, even when I close the software, I need to restart my laptop to get sound again but when I open it back up it starts all over again. I reinstalled my audio drivers and cakewalk but the problem still exists. Any help with trying to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Logan and welcome to the Cakewalk forums.  Tell us, are you using an internal or external sound card?  If you are using an external sound card, I would check in Windows as to which one is set as the default device the internal or external card.
