  4. So there are at least 2 ways I know of to control VST synth parameters. 1. Synth automation lane in track view 2. MIDI CC programming in either PRV or event list view. (am I missing any?) What are the pros/cons of each?
  5. Hello there. Recently I have been having trouble in regards to fixing a problem that is related with the BBC symphony orchestra plugin where in its track after 4 sec of playing it stops like it would just stop reading any midi keys I would write for it in its track. I would really would love some assistance regarding this as frustrating to deal with. Let me know if you need any other info regarding this. Thanks!
  6. I have searched this and other forums but can't seem to find an answer. This is my first attempt at really using a DAW (save messing with gb when I was 12), so I'm lucky to have made it this far. I have gotten Cakewalk to scan and recognize the Layers instrument and created a new instrument track with it. So... now what? When I try to write anything out with piano roll, nothing plays back. Since Layers has several instrument groups with many articulations each, how to I specify which I'm attempting to use? Note: I did figure out how to open the Layers interface from inside Cakewalk, not that it has clarified anything for me thus far. Edit: Breakthrough, but someone may one day need to read this: The bottom octave (no sounds to hear) seems to trigger which type of note I want to play, after loading the articulations through the user interface I opened from within Cakewalk.
  7. I have been trying to load this plugin in my DAW (Cakewalk) but I get a Box (windows10) saying something about bugs and other things that I do not understand just registering my problem in a txt file.
  8. its just 20$ tho +controversy attached, will u use this plugin https://www.musictech.net/news/industry/nani-wxaudio-hentai-distortion-plug-in/ it was released in apr n the devloper is giving away free copy in twitter if u post pics of plugin
  9. Hi! Excuse my english, I'm using an online translator 🐸 I have been using Cakewalk since 3-4 years and I always had a delay of +/- 1 quarter second with 32 bit vst plugins. I specify that I don't have this time offset when I export to wav or mp3 format. I can rectify this time offset when I'm working on a project using the "Time +" field - see the pic. This problem disappeared with the version 2021.01 Update 1 (build 27.01.0.098) but it came back with 2021.04. Actually I'm using Cakewalk 2021.04 Update 1 (build 27.04.0.175) on a laptop Intel Celeron N3150 - 1.60 GHz - 4 GB RAM Windows 10 family - 64 bits.
  10. After switching to new multimedia speakers, I cannot hear any sound from soft synths in Cakewalk. The details are: My configuration OS · Windows 10 Pro (x64) Motherboard · ASUS Prime Z390-P, the onboard sound card disabled in BIOS Discrete sound card · Sound Blaster AE-9 Speakers · Edifier R1280DB The software (the OS, sound drivers, Cakewalk by Bandlab itself) is up to date. The speakers can connect to the sound card in two ways: 2×RCA to 2×RCA audio cable Fiber optic cable Media apps, such as video and audio players, produce their sounds perfectly either way, but CbB does neither when VST instruments are involved. In an example shown on the attached images, I’ve created a project with two tracks: the first one is routed to Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, and the second one to the native Cakewalk TTS-1 soft synth. During playback, the green meters are waving as if both tracks are playing normally, but only the first one is actually heard. The example refers to optical cable, but it’s all the same with RCA connection. I’ve scoured all the preferences both in CbB and in the system in circles, but to no avail. Before that I had got cheaper speakers with a single AUX (phone jack) audio input, and they had no issues with soft synth in Cakewalk. I couldn’t even imagine that I won’t be able to configure soft synth output with much more advanced speakers. Please help me out with this debacle. But, please, avoid suggesting wild stabs in the dark; that’s exactly what I’ve been doing for a week and I wasn’t successful at that. Please look at the images; I’ve tried to capture everything that might matter to the situation.
  11. Hi everybody I have a simple problem but I cannot solve it (probably because are several years that I didn't used cawalk anymore and now I installed bandlab release). I created a blank project and added standard Drum kit VST. then I imported an existing Midi File, muted all tracks except DRUM ones. this track is redirected to SI-DRUMKIT1: If I play, i see that MIDI track is running but I cannot hear anything. Any ideas?

    Side-chaining issues

I’ve been trying to use the sidechaining with mixed results. Using Hornet plug-ins, it seems that the VST2’s work with side-chaining but not the VST3’s (and that’s with Autogain Pro, AGP Mk2, and Hornet VU meter 3). I just recently purchased izotope Neutron 3 and I’m not able to get the VST2’s or VST3’s to recognize the sidechain input even though they clearly have the function. Has anyone had success using sidechaining within the Neutron? Are there any known sidechain issue and fixes for the last version of CbB?

  14. Hello. Anyone can suggest here some free (or restricted demo versions) of good guitar amp for Cakewalk, especially using for electric guitar recording? If there are some mini-suits with amp-pedals etc, i would be glad to know where to find them either free or with low cost or demos. I am intrested of playing rock-progressive rock-blues songs, so i want something satisfying ''disorted'' but not ''over-disorted'' (i don't play metal sounds etc). Thanks.
  15. I have a huge number of VSTi s that are in the Uncategorised 'folder' under the VSTi tab in the Browser pane and I want to move these into different and, in some cases, new folders. Could someone please advise of the best way to do this? Thanks in advance
  16. Does anyone use this organ VST? Unfortunate for me, but there is no tutorial and the manual is entirely unhelpful for me. OTOH, it is a nice sounding VST, but I can't understand how to get the most out of the interface, Willard
  17. Just to thank you by Cakewalk, which I find it wonderful and powerful; and to suggest you a feature: just mirroring the plugins folder tree structure in Plugins TAB, as in Windows Explorer. Oftenly, we want to organize our - usually many - thirdy party plugins by ourselves, and this is a very fast way to do that. I used to use that feature in my ancient Synapse Orion (below) and that make things pretty simple. Thats just a suggestion, I know how hard things could be. Thank you for this nice piece of software.

  19. I would to be able to click in an FX bin and start typing, then it would search on-the-fly amongst all your available plugins and display a list. Press arrow down to your desired effect, and then Enter to load it. Please see my mock-up below. Explanation: I have clicked once in the FX bin I have started typing "soni", and only then the search box appears (or it could always exist slightly faded, instead of white) I have pressed Arrow Down once to select Sonitus Gate, which is highlighted. I would press Enter to load the VST effect.
  20. Sonokinetic and Instruments stop sounding after recording MIDI. Both Cappricio and Indie. They respond to MIDI but no sound. Purging does not help. Reloading restores them but they stop responding again. My system Win7 DAW Cakewalk. No problems with other Kontakt instruments. Scaler also goes dead after any MIDI Recording or movement. Sonokinetic support said this "It sounds like your DAW is applying automation to the library. Have you tried the libraries in standalone mode outside of your DAW to see if you still get the same issue?" I tried this and Both work fine in Kontakt as a stand alone. I've tried just about anything I can think of. Changed settings, etc. Nothing Any suggestions?
  21. Howdy, I recently downloaded a VST plugin from ghosthack.de. It turns out that all of the loops are .wav files, and there are no .dll files. I'm assuming that this is why the VST scanner in Cakewalk isn't picking up the plugin? So, can I still use it with Cakewalk? Thank you
  22. Hi, forgive another newbie question but I have a bass track in my project which plays fine if I'm using the default TTS-1 instrument but if I switch the track to a VST instrument (Sampletank 4, Kontact or even the SI bass) all the notes below B2 (one note below c3) don't play. Am I missing a setting somewhere? According to the individual instrument ranges I should be fine. Thanks for your help.
  23. Some VST plugins dont work after adding. Everytime i get errors "Cant load module". The most plugins from this site https://www.dskmusic.com. Look on photo. Files with green icon dont work correctly.

    MIDI Artifacts

I’m having this problem when using soft synths in Cakewalk (by Bandlab). If I use the same synth twice (mostly Spire) in the same project, the first track records and plays back the midi just fine. But when I insert another instance of Spire (by Reveal, btw), it plays fine (during monitoring) only when recording. When I go to playback, it has entered a ton of little random midi notes all over the place. And obviously, that is crazy to fix on the piano roll. I don’t understand why that is happening. Help? 25. Hello, Edit: 23 March 2019 I decided it could be helpful to include a list of upcoming tutorial videos and their links. The video below is the first video in the playlist, but if you are interested in a specific topic, check the following list for quick navigation. If there is no link for it yet, it means I haven't uploaded it. I can take requests, but keep in mind that I run another business on top of my actual Chernobyl Studios audio work, so if I like the idea, it'll get put on the list and I'll get to it when I get to it. I have a channel on YouTube that I created many years ago for creating Cakewalk SONAR Platinum tutorials. I constantly get questions, comments, and requests on those old videos I did years ago. I'm updating all of the Cakewalk videos I did for SONAR Platinum to Cakewalk by Bandlab. There are three videos currently online, with 4 more already scheduled to come out this week. Please share this playlist with anybody who is getting started with Cakewalk by Bandlab. I am starting from the very basics and will work all the way through mixing an entire song. It will take a few weeks, but it will be worth it. 😎
