  1. This theme was created by Brian Murphree (brconflict) of Soundporter.com. It is still one of the best themes, in my opinion, and I've taken a lot of inspiration from it. Seeing as Brian doesn't seem to be maintaining it at present,I've updated it for 2021.01. Blue Aston (ver1.03).zip
  2. So here’s my first and quite possibly last Light Theme for Cakewalk, as I much prefer dark themes I find it more difficult to make a light theme, so all I can do is hope the light theme likers like it cause I don’t, lol. Many greys and whites have been inspired by those of the metal ‘Titanium’, many colors have been used from my previous M-Lux Blue Theme except those I’ve had to change due to incompatibility with a light theme. Most other backgrounds, buttons, knobs etc are also from my previous theme but most with modification to match a light theme. Enjoy! (Hopefully) :~} Free Download Here.... 5. M-Oxygen has turned out in one way like another take on my ‘M-Unity’ Theme yet it’s almost completely different as almost everything has been changed giving it a somewhat similar yet different appearance. Some special edits in this Theme I’d like to mention…. Gradients on all button states such as Off, On, Hover and press (where available) all match, something that is missing from most, if not all of my other Themes. The Hover state buttons (When hovering the cursor over the button) (where available) brighten up in the same way as Cakewalk makes the Control Bar Backgrounds brighten when you hover over them in any Theme. A new style of Knob to Cakewalk Themes from the Knobman website used in most knobbed areas of the Theme, there’s also another new style of knob used for the Pro-Channel PC4K Compressor Ratio knob. These took so long to get to fit right and display correctly and some nicer styles were attempted for the majority of knobs but I failed, maybe I’ll try them again for another Theme but it’s soooooo tricky! A new style of Fader to Cakewalk Themes completely designed by myself, just a simple design really but looks quite nice. (IMO) Larger text/icon for the Mix Module ‘Dim Solo’ and ‘Exclusive Solo’ Buttons, why were they so small when space allowed for larger like the other buttons of the same size? Also larger text/icons for the Performance Module Percentages. Free Download Here..... 6. Hello guys. I just recently finished making my own theme for my projects. I would like to share this because someone asked if I could post it, if I will make one. The base UI for this theme is from the FLAT_WHITE theme. Thanks to @Colin Nicholls for making it. @chris.r Not completely inspected for overlooked color assignments. There are some few drawbacks for the colors selected but I believe this works for my workflow. Merry Christmas everyone. 8. So, here's another Theme for you, M-Lux Orange with a blue version, M-Lux Blue. (Updated May 9th 2019 to fix an issue with the Event List/Viewer) M-Lux Orange has mostly orange buttons and text and was the initial color choice intended for this theme. M-Lux Blue has had all the orange buttons and text changed to blue with the exception of the input echo button as this is the chosen color for this function, and also the transport pause button which has been changed to yellow. Both themes feature: Various other color buttons and text. A smooth, slightly shiny rubber effect on buttons and the same effect but darkened on display windows makes them look a bit more like, well, display windows, ie: effects in the fx rack, loop, select, transport etc. Highly transformed Prochannel PC4K Compressor, PC-76 Compressor, Eq and Eq Fly-out backgrounds. My usual helpful green=on / red=off fx bin bypass button, and a red background for separately bypassed effects, these are as standard in all my themes as they make it so easy to see at quick glance across the tracks what is bypassed and what isn’t. Cakewalk’s ‘Mercury’ theme style knobs but with a more metallic effect to the color and also with the position indicator surround as seen in Cakewalk’s ‘Tungsten’ theme, I believe this is the first theme to ever feature this and it’s even on knobs that don’t even feature that in ‘Tungsten’. And a dose of luxurious goodness. Free Download Here... 9. This one was the latest theme I was making last year (2019) before specifically concentrating on easier on the eyes Themes which I've released a couple of since, so it’s bright, colorful and may be seen as garish by some but as it was mostly done I decided to finally finish and release, someone might like to use it. 10. I got some spare time during the pandemic and as a result I created a new theme. Continuing with the metal label convention this one is called “Lead”. When compared to my previous themes “Gran Vista” and “Carbon”, this one is flatter and maybe less obtrusive (some would perhaps say more modern). The blue highlights are fetched from my previous themes, while the gradient Control Bar background and buttons have been created from scratch (or actually using a new custom background layer in Photoshop). An overall goal has been to maintain contrast between buttons, text and background. And, of course, to make it look good. One small detail: a feature that I think would work well in most themes is that the Loop, Selection and Punch buttons all have been given a colour accent that corresponds to the same area in Track view, i.e. yellow, green and red respectively. I will add this to the Gran Vista and Carbon themes as well the next time they need to be updated. I’ve made this theme for my own use, but in case anyone would like to use it you can download it from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEeduVqWy0FPQFKe0?e=Jp6SkG
  11. With the old Cakewalk forum soon to be frozen, I’m adding links to the themes Gran Vista and Carbon here as well for easy access and future updates. Gran Vista Black & Blue This theme is called Gran Vista as some of the design elements are inspired by the graphical user interface once found in Windows Vista. Some would say that look is dated, but hey – so am I. There are four slightly different versions of this theme. Gran Vista Black & Blue 000 No gloss on the PC modules and some other design elements being non-glossy as well, such as the track icons. This is a theme for the serious production-centric user. Download from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEbGpfDomY4iiHPfY Gran Vista Black & Blue 030 Using 30% opacity on the gloss layer makes for a matte look-and-feel. This is a theme for the quite serious production-centric user who doesn’t want to have too little or too much of just about anything. Download from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEdCAuHOsrCAeaNP4 Gran Vista Black & Blue 060 Using 60% opacity on the gloss layer gives a subtle glare. This is a theme for the more casual production-centric user who, in the middle of a mixdown, still can appreciate some black plastic. Download from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEbfXIwcxnm-Y-WPA Gran Vista Black & Blue 100 Full 100% opacity on the gloss layer. This is actually the original theme I made, something for all of us who likes shiny, black plastic without reservations. Download from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEblAVDPH9Yip3v7A Carbon The Carbon theme is for the really serious production-centric purist. It has an even darker look and also a flat, non-glossy Control Bar. All other design elements are shared with Gran Vista Black & Blue 000. Download from here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEcOCxvwxFeFGalk4 Matching CA-2A Skins Those using the Gran Vista or Carbon themes and also the Cakewalk CA-2A ProChannel module might find that the module’s brushed aluminum stands out like a sore thumb against the dark theme. As I lately needed to spend some quality time with my procrastinations, I’ve also created matching dark skins for each theme variant, plastic knobs and all. For consistency, I also did likewise with the non-ProChannel effect (not shown here). As CA-2A predates SONAR/CbB themes and hasn’t been made aware of them, replacing the default skin can’t be done through a theme update. It involves some manual tweaking, but it’s still very easy. Instructions on how to install and uninstall the graphical resources are supplied in a pdf that comes with the zip file. After downloading, please begin by reading those instructions before proceeding. The zip file containing all the matching CA-2A skins can be downloaded here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEdYUVehZD7U-0cMY Background If the unlikely event that anyone would like to see the old thread describing the development of these themes, here’s the proper place to look. That thread also contains a few more preview images. Here's also a link to the Release History of these themes: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AmXDCxaGb7JEdu3To6t7ZeQmmAo Some final words: Please be patient when starting a download. Microsoft OneDrive is often painfully slow when responding to a download request.
  12. Here's another new Theme for you. Not a great deal to say about this one, just the simple explanation that M-Stealth is a Theme with mostly pure black backgrounds, and buttons that blend with the background when not selected (hence the name 'Stealth'), leaving just the button Icon visible, but you can see that in the images. 😂 Free Download Here... 13. Another Theme to add to the choices, M-Blue Flare is a dark theme with bright blue text, a blue flare effect (darker top into light then back to darker at the bottom) on most buttons and some other items, blue curved effect meter LEDs (full sized meters and ProChannel Eq flyout meters only), Faders with blue flare effect LED centre position mark and gold track faders. 17. So, after a break from Theme creation and using Cakewalk more with my own Themes I've realized how harsh most of them can be on the eyes so from now I will try to make any new Themes easier on the eyes starting with this one and hopefully from the next one even more so. 18. M-Unity has two versions available, the only difference being in the Audio and MIDI Meters, there’s a regular segmented meters version and a non-segmented (solid) meters version, I know you can select to show non-segmented meters in Cakewalk but they just use a color file and have the level text over them and they also have a colored background so I find all that makes it a bit awkward to see easily so I’ve just replaced the meter images for the segmented meters with images of non-segmented meters which I find works best. 19. 'M-Tungsten' offers yet another alternative Theme to the Cakewalk community and may appeal to those who prefer using the 'Tungsten' Theme. ‘M-Tungsten’ is a darker remix of the Cakewalk included 'Tungsten' Theme. Whilst the intention was to keep the feel of the original ‘Tungsten’ theme, I still wanted to quite heavily modify it to avoid it being too much the same so nearly all items have had changes, some barely noticeable and some very noticeable. Amongst some of the changes are… An overall darker look below the Control Bar to more match its shade. Pale orange buttons in the Control Bar have been deepened to more match the shade of orange on the other Tungsten buttons used throughout. Slightly longer Fader Caps/Tops. My standard Green=On Red=Off for individual Prochannel Module and FX rack power buttons. (I have kept the original Orange power button for the ProChannel strips themselves.) Lighter text in all areas I felt it was too dim. Brighter and deeper colored Audio Meters and a different color for the MIDI Meters as the Tungsten MIDI Meters look the same as the Audio Meters. Record mode Icons added to the small Transport Module Record buttons to match the large. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not much has been left completely untouched although some items have only had minor changes so as to not drift too far from the feel of Tungsten. 20. Who doesn't enjoy a nice flat white in the morning? I know I do. It's about the only type of espresso coffee drink I can make on my machine. However this theme doesn't really have anything to do with coffee, except maybe if you look at the "select/focus/OLED" displays and say, yeah, I have a desire to lick the crema out of an espresso cup right about now... I've been chasing the goal of the perfect non-3D "light" theme for some time and this is my latest effort. I want a theme that is clear, un-distracting. If you don't like grey, this probably isn't the theme for you. FLAT_WHITE.ZIP Previews:

  22. Hello guys. This is my final version for the dark theme. I tried to recreate a darker theme but the combinations tend to become complicated especially when the theme editor has still some limitations when it comes to editability of some elements.
