  1. Hi, i installed a midi program which exports MIDI via virtual MIDI Ports. I did not like the program and deleted it, but its MIDI ports are still listed in Cakewalk Settings MIDI Devices. No existential problem but anyway... Do you know how i can get rid of it? cheers Chris
  2. Please excuse if this has been answered. Tried various searches to no avail. On my projects, MIDI tracks have an "END" marker at the end of each track, but on my recorded audio tracks, there is no "END" marker. What happens is that Cakewalk reaches the end of my recorded audio track and just keeps on running until I actively stop it using the mouse/keyboard option. I always have the Stop At Project End option checkmarked, but it does not seem to work on recorded audio, logically because the audio tracks have no Project End marker. I have previously contacted BLCakewalk support in mid-2019 about this issue, and they appeared to acknowledge the problem after reviewing my submitted sample project, but replied that they would add it to the list for future "fixes". Not sure if others have the same problem, as it may be some unidentified setting in my Cakewalk, but in it's simpliest form, Is there a way to force an "END" marker at the end of an audio track?
  3. So, my eyes aren't as good as they were, but my compositions are more complex. That means I have more tracks in a project and more take lanes...which I want to see and need to tweak. Therefore, my monitor is larger AND at a higher resolution, which in turn reduces the size of everything. Meanwhile, years ago, Calkewak was so proud of itself to introduce a customizable GUI, the Skylight interface. However, please let me know if I'm missing how to select a setting to truly customize what I see. In particular, I would like the gain level setting and the pan setting on an individual clip to be much larger when I hover over a clip, like at least 3x the current default setting...without having everything else onscreen be affected. See bottom right of the screenshot for what Cakewalk shows today. Also, when I right click on an automation node and select properties, I'd love for that pop-up menu to display the values much larger.
  4. Hey there, for a purely hobby project, I'm trying to get the Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro to work with Cakewalk, for playback and recording. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work, being a Cakewalk newbie. Can anyone tell me which settings I have to do in which menus? Thanks, Ingmar
  5. I've been working on a certain sound/preset that I really like, but there is 1 thing bugging me. Basically its a harp sound, but the problem is if you keep spamming a single key there will be multiple voices of the same note ringing creating a heavy chorus type sound rather than stopping the note and restarting it with each press of the key. How do I change this? Sort of like changing Polyphany, except Polyphany is a global setting, if I set it to 1, it means only one note is allowed to ring at a time no matter how many notes you have pressed. I need multiple notes/voices to ring but only 1 instance of each.
  6. When I select Markers and Melodyne to display in a new project file, they appear. But they will not display in an existing file. I wonder if I have accidentally hit a setting to prevent them from displaying in the existing file. Any help is appreciated. BTW: I have the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  7. Hello Cakewalk community, I recently discovered Cakewalk - so I'm still in its infancy - and I have a (understanding) problem regarding the use of ASIO devices, or how to run multiple ASIO devices simultaneously with Cakewalk. My scenario is as follows: I have a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB 2.0 with current driver, and a Line 6 HX Stomp also with current driver/firmware. Windows 10, i7-3770K, 3.5 GHz, 32 GB RAM. I want to use the HX Stomp as an input interface, because with it I can also record the direct signal (ASIO HX Stomp Output 5) in one ride in parallel to the generated output sound (ASIO HX Stomp Output 1). I thought to myself: "A direct signal is always a good idea for reamping etc. later." Furthermore I want to use the monitoring of my Focusrite for the output of Cakewalk (Focusrite USB ASIO Output 1). Both interfaces are displayed by Cakewalk, I just can't use them at the same time. Once the HX Stomp is connected to my PC, I can't select the Focusrite. Can Cakewalk only run one ASIO device? Did I "miss" a setting somewhere? I would like to avoid recording the HX Stomp through the Focusrite - why even convert from analog to digital then back to analog to digitize again 🤔 I have tried to bring both devices to the same sampling rate, bit depth - in this case e.g. 48kHz and 24 bit, then to 96kHz, 44.1kHz and in all combinations for the bit depth, have adjusted the Windows sound settings, all possibilities and combinations - unfortunately all without success, the Focusrite always stays greyed out. Here is the display of the device settings from Cakewalk. Interface is in German do not wonder 😉 I am at my wit's end and would appreciate any hot tips. Should this be a total noob question - please forgive me 🥺 Greetings Tom
  8. I have a plan that upgrade Windows 7 to 10. So I'd like to clarify the backup of the plugin settings. I know VST plugins presets and settings are saved to their folders for each plugins so it's OK. But I believe Cakewalk also saves plugins parameter settings when saving project. Are those settings contained in project.cwp file? or some other specific folder? I'm assuming that might be %AppData%\Cakewalk\Shared Presets\
