Hey all I have been using Cakewalk for a year or so now and thought I had things flowing pretty smoothly with my workflow.. I have used it to produce 2 albums in rapid succession, however I have taken a break from recording this summer and just rebooted cakewalk for the first time in a while today. I loaded up one of my tracks I was working on and for some reason the Midi keyboard tracks I have recorded are playing through the SI-Drumkit instead of back through my synth....I am very confused as when I try to redirect the output back to Midi Out or to Master there is no option to do so. Only SI drumkits 1&2.... I am very perplexed by this new Issue and would love a few words of wisdom from the people.! and yes my projects have 2 midi drumkits in them , I just dont understand why its effecting my ability to create a normal midi track.. BUG: CbB plays notes when transport is stopped! Played an all MIDI project feeding an outboard synth a few times then stopped the transport. While doing something else for a moment, CbB started playing several notes with meter activity repeatedly while transport was still stopped. MIDI track meter continued showing activity when turning OFF the outboard synth. I deleted the track but CbB just moved the wayward note playing to the next track. This eliminated the synth having stuck notes. Bug was within CbB. (buffer issue?) Lowering the MIDI buffer and a system reboot fixed it for now, but this is another one for the book.

I'm using Sonitus Equalizer, and I'm trying to automate it! I wanted to be able to automate the Frequency values of the EQ, so I connected it. However, when automating, I noticed that the frequency is somehow represented by a percent. Is there a way to make it show the value as the amount of hertz, not some weird percent value? Don't mind the 3rd automation track on the bottom, that's for the volume. Is anybody able to help me not list EQ frequencies as percentages?

'ello everyone, I'm new(ish) in these parts. As far as all things Cakewalk go, I'm a bit of a 'legacy act' -Lolz I've just switched from Sonar X3 to the bandLab outfit, which seems real nice in comparison, but as fate would have it (always), I'm 'busting my knuckles' already. Everything seems good and well, other than the driver config/settings. When I set it to ASIO, which is the proper mode for my get up, I don't see the proper inputs. The input selection window doesn't look right, I don't have the same 64 i/o's as before, and only show only 3. When I pick a 'lesser' driver mode, I see my input options as I'm supposed to, and can attempt to track, but pops and clicks abound (even with a buffer/latency increase). I'm running a Win 8.1 x64, i7 Quad 3.4, 8g Antelope Orion Studio HD I was tracking just fine in Sonar X3, fyi. Any help you fine folks can offer is MUCH appreciated! You know how it goes... of course I'm at the tail end of a tune. And if I can re-track the scratch bass line minus the crotchety clicks, she just might be a banger !! Hello, I have been following the cakewalk since version 4, and I really like its usability, it is very intuitive. you program it, I think it would be interesting to add a preview feature in the plugins tab. This feature was adopted by Studio one and cubase. I find it interesting and makes it easier to find the plugin. and it looks better. the sonar is already complete, and it will be even more so.
