  2. Hi folks! If you want a simple trick to have latency free recording, with FX, but no special hardware - check out my video. I show you how to do it in Cakewalk by Bandlab, but this could be applied to other DAWs WATCH HERE: https://youtu.be/-huBF5lrqRM
  3. Hey everyone I am new to the program. And just discovered the guitar effects. I found a sound I like including a wah. As I listened backed I was playing with the wah, and I liked how it sounded. Is there a way I can play the track back and add the wah as I listen to it while also recording the same track to save it in the song?? Thanks in advance for the help.
  4. How can I make a piece of MIDI track sound as if each note were doubled an octave lower, but without adding new note events to the track? Please see the first attached image. In Cakewalk, the track is played back with the Windows default MIDI synthesizer, and it’s assigned the Accordion program. I want to mimic a mode (available with a register switch on a real accordion) where each written note actually sounds as a charmonic octave, with the second note added an octave lower. I can just double the notes, as shown on the second image, and this sounds satisfactory for my goals, but the staff (and the piano roll as well) becomes a mess and looks misleading, since I’m actually pressing double keys on the accordion, not quadruple ones. Is there an effect or another way to make the piece play back according to the second image while keeping actual MIDI notes according to the first?

  9. Hi There I am currently working on a a project but find when I add SI Drums( a pre-defined beat from the library in ROCK section) it seems to distortion the whole thing on playback?? I have added Guitar initially with Effects from FH3 and then Bass using Amps/Cabs also from FH3 and all seems to be fine but when I add the drums its seems to distort the whole thing. Has anyone else come across this issue? Also is there a preferred precedence when recording tracks to stop this happening I.e. Drums first, then Bass then Guitar etc. ? Any help in this would be appreciated
  10. It would be useful to be able to add an effects rack similar to ableton live, so that the effects are applied in parallel and those effects can be an effect chain or more effects rack.

  16. It would be very helpful to have a global FX latency meter/analyzer, which would have an option to disable/enable/bypass specific FX globally (all instances) for specific task to reduce latency. For example if I want a specific plugin to kick in only on playback... Or if I want the plugin to be present and set in the bin so it is ready for mixdown or audition, but so it does not affect audio engine latency (bypass) and more. Similar to "global" FX on/off button... but selective for particular plugins. I hope I am making sense. I do not know the depth of knowledge behind the processes, just a user opinion. Including a primitive drawing in attachment of how I see it.

  23. Hi¡ I'd like to submit what seems like a bug in my opinion in the latest update of Cakewalk by Bandlab. I have a track effects bin with multiple eq plugins of the same brand (fabfilter). All of them have some automation info embedded into their respective automation lanes. The thing is that whenever I delete one of these plugins, the automation info on the other plugins of the same kind and brand gets deleted as well. If it were only the automation info pertaining to that specific plugin, there would be no problem; this would be normal behaviour. However, the issue is that it deletes the automation info pertaining to the other plugins as well, the ones which are not being deleted. I have found a workaround this problem by copying the automation info of all the track to another track and then pasting it back again to the original, but it would be great to have this bug fixed as it's probably not to hard to do so. Thank you.
