About Me

  1. I am unable to play any of my projects old or new because whenever I press the play button, I get a notice that says: "Unable to open audio playback device. Device may not support the current audio projects audio format or may be in use." I currently have the driver mode on WASAPI exclusive, and this has worked the entire year I have been using cakewalk. Changing the driver mode gets rid of the notification yet makes it so that my project makes no sound. I have no clue what to do and would really appreciate anyone's ideas. Let me know what you think I should do.
  2. Out of nowhere my music isn't producing the same sound anymore. I previously had this experienced but I spent like an hour messing around with the driver mode and found the MME 32 bit worked really well for my laptop. But suddenly when I didn't change any of the preferences at all my music sounds terrible again like its coming out of a really messed up speaker and its cracking and popping. Even when I'm not playing audio at all and just editing my clips there's a sound in my headphones of crackling and occasional popping. I've changed it back to Wasapi shared and then becake to ASIO and then back to MME 32 bit but in every driver mode it now sounds terrible. Even my voice sounds like its suddenly out of tune for some reason along with the background sounding like its coming through a broken speaker. I have no idea what happened. How do I fix this?
  3. 'ello everyone, I'm new(ish) in these parts. As far as all things Cakewalk go, I'm a bit of a 'legacy act' -Lolz I've just switched from Sonar X3 to the bandLab outfit, which seems real nice in comparison, but as fate would have it (always), I'm 'busting my knuckles' already. Everything seems good and well, other than the driver config/settings. When I set it to ASIO, which is the proper mode for my get up, I don't see the proper inputs. The input selection window doesn't look right, I don't have the same 64 i/o's as before, and only show only 3. When I pick a 'lesser' driver mode, I see my input options as I'm supposed to, and can attempt to track, but pops and clicks abound (even with a buffer/latency increase). I'm running a Win 8.1 x64, i7 Quad 3.4, 8g Antelope Orion Studio HD I was tracking just fine in Sonar X3, fyi. Any help you fine folks can offer is MUCH appreciated! You know how it goes... of course I'm at the tail end of a tune. And if I can re-track the scratch bass line minus the crotchety clicks, she just might be a banger !! Thank you kindly good people, Ron
  4. In my Audio Devicesc: ASIO4all v2 micn 1 input driver and ASIO v2 hpout 1 output then i see "in use by another application" ms g5 wavetable synth enabled? Driver Mode=ASIO and Assign Inst to midi to output. How does all of this effect or interact with my Akai LPK25? Thanks!!
