Hello, I'm new to Cakewalk with almost no experience and when I open Cakewalk, I get this popup: I'm using ASIO but I don't know which driver I should be using. And also, I don't get any sound from Cakewalk, and I think that this is the problem. By the way, I've been using this computer as a Minecraft server but maybe that has nothing to do with this problem. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm having trouble getting Cakewalk to output audio to my computer's 3.5mm jack. My goal is to mimic what I was able to do with GarageBand on OSX; connect my guitar through a USB interface, play with GarageBand's amp emulator, listen through my 3.5mm headphones directly from the computer. My setup: Guitar -> Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen (Input) -> Cakewalk v2021.04 (build 175, 64b) -> Scarlett Solo (output) I am able to hear output audio from the Scarlett Solo 6.5mm jack, but for convenience it would be nice to use my computer audio. I'm just learning and trying to get the most simple practice setup I can on Windows. For starters, Cakewalk recognizes my Scarlett as the only audio device. Is there a way to add the windows audio drivers here?

Hello fellas, First time user here! I discovered Cakewalk by Bandlab the other day and set it up on my laptop. I tried connecting my 8 track recorder (Zoom R8) as a MIDI-Controller but somehow it wouldn't work! I set up the in- and output to the Zoom R8 and also imported the ACT settings. Couldn't find the Zoom R8 in the audio input and output though. Is that why it didn't work? To be completely frank, I think I may need some sort of step-by-step instruction. Been looking online to help myself but everything I tried remains fruitless. Could you guys help me out?

I want to use KORG nanoKONTROL 2 in CC mode instead of Sonar/Cakewalk mode. I wanted to assign MIDI CC #1, #3, #11, etc. like modulation, expression to sliders. I had set them in KORG KONTROL Editor and wrote the data. However, nanoKONTROL 2 doesn't work at all in Cakewalk by Bandlab. I also can't use MIDI learning features in plugins. I tried that in Native Instruments' Kontakt, Spitfire Audio's BBCSO, Orchestral Tools' SINE Player, etc. Would you help me solve this problem?

Hello. I am, for the most part, new to Cakewalk and DAW's in general and I can't seem to get any sound out of Cakewalk no matter what I do. I do not have a separate audio card and I am just using my windows computer's sound card for now. I know that the sound doesn't work because I've tried messing around with the virtual instruments but I have had no luck. I can't seem to hear anything from cakewalk. I've tried changing the Driver Mode many times, I've tried changing the sampling rate and using the Wave Profiler to verify the sample rate. I've tried to make sure that I have the Correct Input and Output devices checked. It feels like I've tried everything and still no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Windows 7, Cakewalk 2019.12 I've recorded a MIDI sequence which plays on an external synth, and now I want to capture the output from the instrument's 48KHz S/PDIF output. Nothing works. I've tried all driver modes, tried different digital and analog input devices, nothing produces a track. MME and sometimes WASAPI starts to play the MIDI tracks, but hangs after a second or a few, not showing any clip on the recording audio track, and with the Now time line not moving. When I hit space bar, it suddenly moves the Now time up to where it would have been, and shows a clip up to that point, but it has nothing in it but some low-level noise. ASIO, WDM/KS, and sometimes WASAPI plays fine, but doesn't create any clip and therefore records nothing. I've fiddled with the Timing Master settings, trying to use the same device I'm recording from as the master, and also trying to use some other device, and neither worked. For ASIO, I've fiddled with settings in ASIO4ALL to no avail. My S/PDIF input works fine with Windows Sound Recorder. To get my music exported, I installed Audacity, pressed Record, then told Cakewalk to play, and Audacity recorded the music without a hitch. So there's nothing wrong with my hardware or drivers. What could be wrong, or how do I diagnose this further? The device settings are pretty cryptic, and don't seem to provide reasonable defaults, so are there some specific settings somewhere I may have missed?

Hello. I'm using the Yamaha Ag06 Audio Interface. I'm also using a voice meter virtual program to calibrate. This time I installed it for cakewalk recording, but I can't choose my ag06. I tried reinstalling the Cake Walk, reinstalling the Amaha driver, and setting Yamaha as my default audio device, but I still couldn't catch it. Let me know if you know how to catch it. It's very urgent.

Hi, I use Roland's A-500Pro as MIDI keyboard/controller I set MIDI input device to A-500 pro, save project then load it again, I found MIDI input devices were changed to invalid or unavailable device. At first, I doubted that this is because my project template is broken, so I created Completely new project and set MIDI Input device, saved it then loaded it and found same problem occurred again. MIDI Input preset seemed to be a good way to avoid this, but after loading project, MIDI input device names were set to the preset but it didn't work, names were correct but internally seemed to be set to invalid device. Not sure this is bug or issue caused by my environment, I report issue just in case.
