  1. Is there a way to get another decimal place in the tempo? I am only getting xxx.x and need xxx.xx. If I add the extra number, the tempo is rounded up. For example, 115.25 becomes 115.3. I'm downloading stems for backing tracks, and I need to match the tempo from song. Thanks
  2. Hi, Everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have 2 images below: they are each showing that that my MIDI trax (and audio Metronome track) are visually aligned. However, when I play it, I do not hear beat one of first playback measure, until its on beat two. Which, of course, throws the timing off. So, when I'm listening to the metronome track in solo, for example, the STRONG beat is always falling on beat 2. If I close my eyes to record other trax, its ez enough to follow along and record: but not have the visual line up with the audial is a bit disconcerting. Anyone have a solution? This has been going on for about a week, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out what I've changed, if anything. Thanks, Kevin
  3. Hi there, 10 year+ user of Cakewalk/Sonar here, and lately have been experiencing a very strange and very frustrating problem for the first time. Whenever I record anything into the DAW, whether it be on a MIDI keyboard or on a guitar, when played back it is noticeably ahead of the beat. For example, if I lay down a rhythm guitar part with a lot of 16th notes over a drum loop, it sounds super locked in while I'm recording, but when I play it back it sounds whack. It is a small differential, but big enough for me to have noticed. Same goes for MIDI. I've adjusted my buffer several times, restarted the software and the computer just as many times, and still no luck. Has ANYONE experienced this issue before? Beyond frustrating as I can't really record anything until it's sorted out. The interface I've been using recently is a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4. Thanks!
  4. I was opening a project that I had copied (using "save copy as"). I played it back, but I noticed that some notes were not synchronized to when I had placed them. The lead instrument, for example, would start playing early, even though the placement of the note is where I want it to be. However, everything sounds fine when I export it. It sounded fine when I saved it, so why did it get messed up when I opened it?
  5. Hi, I'm new to Cakewalk. I've noticed that when i record through MIDI keyboard and i wish to edit a note that's been played out of time through piano roll, the notes (shown as lines) tend to like to stick to each beat rather than allowing me to simply drag it wherever i want it. I can usually hear exactly where i want a note to fall just by listening, and looking at the playback, but then the software won't allow me to drag it to that exact place. It doesn't sound quite right when it's exactly on the beat because the rest of the notes have their own sort of... flow. Is there a way to allow for more flexibility in terms of dragging notes, for example decreasing the fractions by which a note can be dragged/ not weighting them towards the beats? thanks! Lucy
  6. when I enter a series of eight-note pairs, the last of the pair does not align to the proper timing. I use the setting 0f 960 ticks per quarter note. The first beat of the song (entered by mouse) is 1:01:000. the next eighth note should land on 1:01:480. The notation shows the proper placement of this eighth note but it SOUNDS at 1:01:360. This is constant. I am forced to enter the note and then click on it to re set it to 1:01:480. This constant misplacement is present at what should be 1:01:480, 1:02:480 , 1:03:480 and 1:04:480.
