  2. Here's a template I created for use with the MPK2 series controllers that allow visual pad feedback with bank switching. It also makes room for mute pad functionality and feedback by creating a custom device preset which is explained in the included text file. mpk2_cakewalk.zip
  3. Hi folks, I have already filed this with support, but I'm yet to hear back, so I thought I'd check if anyone here has encountered this issue. I have been working off a new template, and have noticed 5 mixes into a new album, that no audio is saving to the respective audio folder, after saving a standard CWP. I have replicated the issue on both my laptop and desktop PC. I have also tried saving the original template as CWP, saving to a new location, and saving as a CWP before importing audio. The problem still persists. Furthermore, any time I open the template, the 'Find missing audio' box appears, even though there is no missing audio to be found. I can't get rid of this box. I'm thinking this might be something to do with the issue? The clean audio folder option is greyed out in utilities. Any help would be great, as I don't fancy starting these 5 mixes from scratch unless I can help it. Cheers
  4. I just recently started using templates. I created the latest one using a previous recording session - 8 track, input assignments made, and effects applied from the previous session. The recording seemed to progress slowly, with the later songs taking minutes to complete recording, after the song was actually complete. Playback was not possible without exiting and restarting the program due to the audio driver dropping audio. Playback was amazingly awful. Each song would start out ok, but drop pitch and tempo as the song progressed. I'm talking whole tone(s) drops with an associated drop in tempo. I never expected this from a digital recording, it actually behaved like an analog recording on a machine with bound up drive motors. I think the problem might have been caused by the way I created the template, I will experiment with that later on today. I'm more interested in trying to save the existing recording. I've added buffers, enabled cache, de-fragmented the drive and also bundled the session to de-fragment it. I also cancelled all effects in the hope of reducing system latency. Nothing worked. Is there any hope of restoring this awful sounding session?

  6. ToneLab - Guitar Bass Templates - Virtual Amp Simulators In order to utilize the ToneLab Guitar and Bass templates, you must copy over the included "Virtual Amp Simulators" (FX Chain Presets) into the correct Cakewalk Content file directory. Drag and Drop all three folders into the following directory: "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core" *You may be prompted about files that already exists in the content folders, such as the default images that come packaged with Cakewalk. You may select skip then only the customized graphics will be copied over. Here are the default locations of the content file directories for reference. "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\FX Chain Graphics" "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\FX Chain Presets\Guitars and Basses" "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Project Templates" *Example of my custom FX Chain Graphic inspired by the SVT-3PRO bass amp.

  8. Included are several guides on working with AD2 in Cakewalk, as well as a few "Advanced Drum Editing" guides made by members of the CW team published during the SONAR era (Still relevant for current Cakewalk release as of mid 2021) Addictive Drums 2 (Project Temp +Track Temp +Drum Map) separate-outputs.pdf Cakewalk - Setting up a Drum Map for Addictive Drums 2 in Cakewalk.pdf
  9. For those of us who were "rolled over" from the previous life of Cakewalk by BandLab known as "SONAR", acquired significantly more templates that were pre configured and delegated among each tier package (Artist, Professional, Platinum). This also included a few more ProChannel FX Chain Inserts that utilized the bundled in 3rd party plugin suites. I have always had a folder of my Pro & Platinum Temps in a cloud for mobility and to easily share with friends that are learning how to use Cakewalk. The templates that I will share here utilize the DXi, VST, VSTi programs that come already fitted out within Cakewalk by BandLab. I will post any advanced templates using 3rd party plug ins in a separate topic in the forum. Showcase Templates (TH3, Virtual Instruments, Surround 5.1) Mix and Mastering Templates Console Emulation (S- Type, N- Type, A- Type)
  10. If you've ever thought, "How do I create my own template?" or "What are templates good for?" Here is a more in depth look at exactly how to set up a project template for yourself! Once you've got a grasp on what works for you, it can literally save you hours!
  11. Title says it. When I'm at the Start Screen and click on "New Project," the stock templates that come with Cakewalk have these lovely hi-res photos of mixing desks and so forth. When I alter them and save them under different names, I get a plain generic icon. I want to assign the purty ones. I know how to add my own pictures for .CWP files so they show up in the recent projects screen, but I want the nice vignetted pictures on my templates, darn it. How do I work this?
  12. Looking at the contents of a simple Project Template file I created, I see absolute paths to my C:\ drive and user data locations. I assume this is not great for being able to share Project Templates with other Cakewalk users or with other computers where your user name or installation paths might not match. Examples of paths found: C:\Users\eelco\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Metronome\Ping This could be substituted with a relative path: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Metronome\Ping C:\Cakewalk Content\Audio Library This could be using the local installation 'Wave Files' folder configured under Preferences > File > Folder Locations
  13. Edit: I probably didn't select all tracks when exporting. Will give it another shot, thanks! Curious if anyone else has had this issue or noticed any problems when after exporting as a template it doesn't load what I had saved. Example: I created 2 tracks with amp sims and I loaded up a multi track folder of EzDrummer. Exported as template, closed it out. Went to open it and only EzDrummer tracks load, the other 2 just didn't appear at all. Any tips or advice? Thanks!
  14. Hi, guys! I modified empty project template and overwrite it. After that, the icon of empty project template was changed from its own on start screen's new project tab. How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.
  15. A Cakewalk TTS-1 General MIDI Template. Someone should have done this. GENERAL MIDI - TTS-1.rar
  16. Hi, All my templates have reverted to the factory version. Any idea why? The only major thing I've done the last week has been the Cakewalk update, that I can remember. Appreciate you
  17. I was adding a new template to the "Start Screen" under "New Project". Once done, I wanted to change the icon (graphic) associated with it. I have looked in the documentation and I am not finding the info. So - Does anyone know how you would go about doing this? I see others (selections) have an icon? . . . Thanks, Syphus
