About Me

  1. ALL Blue Cat PlugIns 10% Off with code: DIGIFQ20 https://www.bluecataudio.com/
  2. Some of the best features to me are the ones that save users time and therefore make their workflow easier. Ideally this is done by shortening how many clicks or numbers are typed in to accomplish something. For example, I'm off listening back to a tune and suddenly hear where I need to do a punch in. So I click stop (the space bar) right around where I want to punch in. It's real drag to have to type in the exact time or measure and beat where I want to punch in. So how about making the default record start time be whatever the now time is? If a user doesn't want that, then no big deal, the user does what we've always done: Type in the start time we want. But if the user wants the now time to be the record start time, then the user is saved from having to enter in the record time.

  5. Hello, Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I hear distortion when trying to record. I am using a MX3M USB condenser mic and audio driver WASAPI Shared. On track 1, I have imported an instrumental. On track 1, I have space for my recording. When I listen to the instrumental, there is no distortion. When I start recording, I hear distortion. When I stop recording and listen to tracks 1 and 2, there is no distortion. Any advice? Thank you in advance! Christine

  11. I have just encountered a new problem. I am using the TTS-1 synth but the input echo doesn't allow me to hear what I am playing during recording. It works before recording when the input echo button is on, but as soon as I press record it doesn't work. The midi track records the notes I am playing, I just can't hear what I am playing. Yes, I have tried muting all the other tracks and I have checked that the TTS-1 track is the only one armed and with input echo switched on. I have also used the SI-Bass and SI-Strings just now on the same project and have not had the same problem with them, so it appears it is something within either the TTS-1 or the record function in Cakewalk which I need to change? Please help....I need to get this track finished once and for all!

  19. Hi I am experiencing a strange dysfunction during recording that isn't restricted to, but primarily concerns the inability to overwrite. I just thought I would check if this is familiar to anyone before replacing hardware that otherwise appears to be working properly, or reinstalling Cakewalk. I have been working on the same project for over a month, Record is set to overwrite and this has worked for me fine up until now. I am running Windows 10 pro with i7 9700k 3.6GHz 64G ram, I have 2 midi controllers connected through separate interfaces. sound card is focusite scarlet 2i2, I can describe my setup in more detail , but this might not be necessary if someone recognizes this problem. 2 days ago I had a fallout ( something i haven't experienced since the late 90's). and then Cakewalk froze and had to be force quit. After reboot I had to redo all cakewalk settings ( midi inputs audio etc) so its possible I just misconfigured the setup after reboot. Periodically I cannot record at all, ( no white region following the curser and no data afterwards) other times I can lay down a first recording but nothing afterwards. For a while I was able to double the track and record them both simultaneously and this "woke up" the dormant track for a take or two. Now i simply cant overwrite. I've tried all reconfiguration of the record settings including "create new land" Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

  22. Sorry if the title is a little vague. I didn't know how to explain in a few short works. I am new to Cakewalk and am having some teething pains. Here is my problem at the moment... I record drums on the first track. I play guitar on the second track but that second track also includes what I recorded in track 1. I then do a vocal on a third track and get all three tracks showing up on the third track. Ideally what I want is to have each track isolated so I can adjust volumes, equalization etc. What am I doing wrong
