  1. Is there a way to get another decimal place in the tempo? I am only getting xxx.x and need xxx.xx. If I add the extra number, the tempo is rounded up. For example, 115.25 becomes 115.3. I'm downloading stems for backing tracks, and I need to match the tempo from song. Thanks
  2. So, i've browsed around for a fix and nothing has done the job. My metronome will simply not work. I set the outputs to my speakers, checked everything I needed to and yet I can't hear it. If ANYONE can please help me out you'd be a life saver. (i am still a noob to this software)
  3. Do i have to make a template to have the metronome, both play and record, disabled all the time? When i start a new project, which i do often, i always have to click the metronome in the control bar to turn off the record option. I really don't need it. Instruments take care of the tempo just fine.
  4. You can record the audio metronome to a track. This may be useful, for example, if you plan to work on the project in another DAW, or if you simply want more control over the metronome signal. By recording the metronome to a track, you can export the click track as a separate track when you export individual track stems. The first step is to create a new stereo bus that is dedicated to the metronome. Most of the default Cakewalk project templates already contain a Metronome bus. If your project already contains a Metronome bus, you can skip directly to step 5. If your project doesn’t contain a Metronome bus, go to Insert > Stereo Bus to insert a new stereo bus, then rename the new bus to “Metronome”. Click the Metronome icon in the Transport module to show the metronome settings (or go to Edit > Preferences > Project - Metronome). In the Preference dialog box, select Use Audio Metronome, and make sure the Output field is assigned to the Metronome bus. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box. Right-click the Metronome bus in the Track view or Console view and select Insert Send > New Aux Track. The Metronome bus is now sending its signal to the new Aux track. Arm the new Aux track for recording and disable Input Echo . Make sure the metronome is enabled during recording (press F3 to enable/disable the record metronome). Click the Record button in the Transport module (or press R) to begin recording. The signal from the Metronome bus is recorded to the Aux track. When you are done recording the metronome, click the Stop button in the Transport module (or press SPACEBAR), then disarm the Aux track . Note: If you re-arrange the project or insert meter changes or tempo changes after the metronome has been recorded, you should re-record the metronome in order to be synchronized with the timeline. Post recording: Disable the original record metronome (press F3). This way, the metronome will only be played by the recorded Aux track. If you don’t need to record any additional metronome signals, delete or disable the Aux send on the Metronome bus. You can even mute or delete the entire Metronome bus if it is no longer needed. Assign the Aux track’s Input control to None. Finally, rename the Aux track to a more descriptive name, such as “Metronome”. That's it! You can now mute/unmute the Metronome track as needed. In summary: Create a Metronome bus and send it to a new Aux track. Record the Aux track. Mute the original metronome. Mute/unmute the Aux track when a click track is needed. 5. Hallo guys. I'm new with this forum. I've got this issue with my newly downloaded bandlab DAW. I've searched the internet for a solution but I've haven't found one so far. The problem is one some are experiencing which causes a particular project not to open: When I open the project in Safe Mode the dialog says there is a plugin called Groove Player on the LSR Track Bus even though it does not appear among the plugins used in the song. I've found out that it's the Audio Metronome, used as the Audio Metronome engine. It is located in the Shared DXi folder. When not loading this damned plugin in through the safe mode procedure the project opens and everything works fine. But after saving the project again when I reopen it bandlab crushes again because groove player is still detected during safe mode. I've tried a couple of things including regsvr32ing a Groove Player dll, solution offered by a forum user but nothing... But when I save the project (I've saved it under another name, also) and try to open it again it crashes. Could someone help me break this bugging dreadlock because apparently I'm not the only one having this issue but nobody has provided a clear and detailed explanation so far...thank you very much
  6. Hello, looking for help to stop the metronome being recorded. My setup is a Yamaha P-125 connected to my laptop using the host to USB connection. I have Cakewalk installed on the laptop. I am recording an audio track not midi. After I record a track and select or un-selecting metronome during playback has no effect I still hear the metronome click. It seems the metronome is being recorded. It doesn't matter if I use headphones or the Yamaha built in speakers while recording the metronome plays during playback. When I add a track the input shows Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO 2 in 2 out and the dropdown shows Digital Piano 1+2 S I am new to DAW's so please don't assume I know anything, please give step by step and easy to follow help. Just let me know if I need to add any other information. TIA
  7. I want to make a piece in 13/8 time signature (actually: 2/4 + 6/16 + 3/4). Unfortunately the built-in metronome happens to be useless, because all I hear is a stream of fast 8ths with emphasized one, which doesn't correspond musically to the real feel. Is there any way to program the metronome according to the pattern below, or better just create a synth track? If the latter, then a follow-up question: can I configure a track, so it's audible only during recording?
  8. Hello, Any ideas how I can change the default sound of the metronome as it starts to get too much for me after hours listening from my projects? Anyone got a softer metronome sound pls? Many thanks.
  9. I have a multitrack with the metronome on an independent audio track and I want to synchronize the MIDI tempo with that track (without stretching the audio files) I have tried to follow the instructions here, but it is not working. I am following this steps: 1) Select the click track 2) Open the Audio Snap (Alt-A) 3) Click on "Set Project from Clip" I see the white vertical lines perfectly aligned with the audio metronome clicks, but MIDI tempo doesn't align with these marks. What step am I missing? I think that I;ve already touched all the buttons
  10. Upon recording MIDI notes to Cakewalk's metronome I noticed that they are always recorded a bit sooner then when I actually played them. This effect seems to get worse at a higher recording tempo, and better if the tempo is low. I made a video portraying the issue in action: It seems like Cakewalk's metronome plays its tick a fixed amount of time too early, but there might be even more bugs hiding behind Cakewalk's janky GUI. For the sake of even being able to record sound I had to use FL Studio ASIO as my ASIO driver, but the effect is just as present with ASIO4All. I'm on a Windows 10 machine with the following specs, in case it helps you diagnose the problem: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 6x 3.20GHz RAM: G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200 graphics card: AMD Radeon RX Vega 56, 8GB HBM2 mainboard: ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming
  11. I downloaded Cakewalk today and started trying the features. But my metronome is not working, I open the preferences to see what happend and the place where I should be able to choose the sound I wanted the metronome to play is blank and I can't seem to find a way to work it out. Any ideas? The image is in portuguese but it doesn't change much.
  12. Hello, After installing Cakewalk by Bandlab on a new computer today the metronome audio files are missing from the metronome settings drop down menu. Only displays blank drop down menus for both the First Beat & Other Beats fields. Anyone experiencing this same issue and have a fix for this? Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi, When I choose 1 or more "Record Count-in" in metronome settings for playback and recording, then hit play, the metronome emphasizes the 1st beat, so that is working. When I choose to record, then the 2nd beat is emphasized every measure....weiiirrrrrd. Just to let you know if "0" is selected in "Record Count-in", then the emphasis is on the 1st beat whether playing back or recording. If anyone would reply as to what I am doing wrong it would be appreciated! Tks!
  14. Hi there. fellow members. I'm new on Cakewalk and I have a problem configuring the metronome: I want to set set the "count-in" option for making the metronome start sounding a couple of bars before the audio starts in order to practice and record with my guitar, but after several tries, search in this forum and looking in the reference guide, I managed nothing. I can make the metronome to sound, but always starting with the audio/playback/recording. Some details: - I'm using a Lexicon Alpha as my USB audio interface and the AlphaASIO driver. - I'm on Windows 10 pro 64-bits. - I set the clock to audio, as in the reference guide is told that if you are using only audio or audio and MIDI, you better chose this option - I set the count-in option under the metronome section to 2 bars and checked for both play and recording. - I press the spacebar to start the playback and then... the audio starts and the metronome sounds but no trace of the count-in measures/pre-roll and I don't know what to do. I use too REAPER as DAW and there, to configure the pre-roll is dead easy, but here I feel really lost. For what I saw this far of Cakewalk is seems a really nice DAW full of really good features, but I need this to work with it. Can someone help me, please?
  15. I play progressive metal and I often have tempo changes, like 6/8 3/4, 13/8, 7/8. Sometime I prefer that the metronome gives me the "1 2 3 4" before recording...but sometime the Cakewalk change the accent and put this in the 3 or 2. Is it possible change that?
