Has "OTHER OPTION" menu been deleted in latest version as attached picture? I am looking for it to uncheck "Zero controllers when play stops" to solve no sound issue but i can't find it~~~~~ is there anybody to help with this?
-
Got the following issue; i want to use the synths in kontakt as multitracks and i am not able to get Kontakt to respond on anything but midi channel 1. I want to have say an oboe on midi channel 1 and a clarinett on midi channel 2. Midi channel 1 is working fine, but as soon as i try using channel 2 or higher, nogo. Guess there is something im missing in setting the whole thing up? Or are there any known bugs with sonar & kontakt?

When doing my review for Sample Logic's Symphonic AI, I noticed lots of dropouts when loading new patches and other operations. I found a solution in the Audio Configuration file. I hope this might also help other users experiencing the same issue. Go into Preferences | AUDIO | Configuration File * Look for Dropout Msec and increase it to a value that feels comfortable. I just chose 2500 and it seems to work. * Then go further down and modify the Thread Scheduling Model to 2. There are other modes but 2 has been the most stable for me.

Hello everyone, I have question for those using Kontakt here. I'm working on a multi-instrumental track and I've loaded all the different instruments and patches into one instance of Kontakt 6 - so one synth with 11 output tracks . Is it possible to create a separate automation line for each track and with each instrument loaded into Kontakt, or does the automation work only per synth (in this case 1) ? Can't figure it out and it seems that there's not much support available about this case. Thanks in advance for your help !

Great video about sound creation

Hi, Here is my my new Tubular Bells Kontakt instrument. Sounds bonkers!!!!
-
I have a sync problem with VST instruments. Here's my example: I load Kontakt 6 for 4 instruments and use the India Library. If I use the internal metronome, the down beat starts to drift away from "1" So, I set the metronome to MIDI and use my external Super-JV for a click. Then, I record the flute with PDC on (If I turn it off, it slowly introduces a lag from key-on 'til it sounds) Then I record another line. Same problem with PDC off, so I turn it on. Now the Flute line drifts ahead of the beat and I cannot play in sync. So, I try a percussion instrument that has phrases that can be triggered. The Kontakt percussion instrument is not perceiving the downbeat at 1, so it starts to drift. I'm on Windows 10. Steinberg UR22 interface. Latency set to about 768 and there is a normal, low latency and stable mode, choice doesn't make a whole lot of difference. thoughts? hk

Xperimenta is a wonderful developer in Italy. It is a crazy time for everyone and just looking for ways to help support other musicians and creators as we work through this together. From Flavio's email received today. You will receive his Kitchen Kit and a bonus LoFi Drumkit. Checking it out now. I'm Flavio, from XPERIMENTA Project. My software house is based in Italy and, as you probably know, my country is struggling with the coronavirus emergency. Every day thousands of people are fighting with this virus, but to win the battle is important to have the right medical tools. Every day the news are heartbreaking, and hospitals in the north needs urgent assistance. All the money raised from Kitchen Kit will be sent to the Italian hospitals of Milan and Bergamo to buy life support machines, and the Spallanzani Research Institute. You can learn more about this project as well as his other instruments (especially his DUE Piano library for Kontakt) here: https://www.xperimentaproject.com/ Here is an interesting video featuring his Kitchen Kit.

Just thought I would share my latest run-through video. Here I am featuring Heavyocity’s Mosaic Keys which is a very amazing and creative library. This is definitely not a Rhodes, Wurlitzer or traditional piano library we are accustomed to, enjoy. In some other Daws, you can route another Kontakt Instrument to trigger Midi on a separate other instrument. Ex: Kontakt Library patch to a vintage horns patch. I go to Kontakt preferences and select Send Midi to Outside World, choose CCs and Notes. Looking at youtube examples other programs show a dropdown of Kontakt Out that you would select for the Input of a 2nd track. This doesn't appear as an option in Sonar. It only shows my input devices (Kybd, controller, etc., Virtual Instruments) , but no Kontakt out option. Is that not supported in Sonar or am I doing it wrong. I'm running Kontakt as a soft synth in Sonar, not as a stand alone instrument. I only use 1 instance of Kontakt and multiple midi tracks addressing different midi channels and patches in Kontakt Any ideas or workarounds any users came across? Thanks, Michael Warren

Cakewalk does not see Kontakt

Hi folks! I know that some people really struggle to get multiple Kontakt outputs behaving well in Cakewalk by Bandlab. Rather than leave you in peril, I put together a quick tutorial for you of course! WATCH HERE: https://youtu.be/2OTwZ3NXW9w
