  1. I'm new to music production, and looking for a keyboard and controller to start composing with. I've narrowed down my search to these two options, which I have found great used deals for. I'm leaning towards the LaunchKey, but I haven't found anything definitive about it's integration with Cakewalk. While I would prefer access to the other features of the LaunchKey, if it doesn't integrate well, I believe the Nektar would better serve me. The Launchkey claims to use HUI, which from what i've researched, isn't completely supported by Cakewalk. However, multiple posts here have provided solutions, but I am unable to test them. So, what I'm asking is, how well does the LaunchKey integrate with Cakewalk, or how much effort is needed to set it up for full functionality?
  2. Hi, I've been trying for hours but couldn't find any right solution for this very simple task. As the title says, I'd like to arrange a sample/pattern (say a drum loop) in the Maschine Studio, which I loaded as Midi Plugin in Cakewalk. But after I finished my drum loop, it never really finds its way into the DAW. So if i play my pattern gets run in repeat until I hit the bypass button. Here's a screenshot The closest I came was exporting the sample in NI-Maschine Studio and then import it again in Cakewalk but there has to be a better integrated, let's say a right way. So how is this done ? Thanks in advance! Frank
  3. I followed the "download stem" instructions for Integration Between BandLab and Cakewalk ( https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022218453-Integration-between-BandLab-and-Cakewalk- ) and when I opened the stem files in Calkwalk (File/Open), all the tracks were truncated at different bar lengths. Some tracks were a bit longer than others but at about the 80% mark in the 6 track song, tracks just ended. Some tracks were midi and others analogue. The song and tracks play normally in BandLab. The tracks were recorded by 3 different players, remotely so there is a chance that different tracks were recorded at different Sample Rates and Bits in BandLab. Any ideas about what wold cause this? Is it a bug? Thanks!
  4. The answer? You spoiled me! I get the best answers, from friendly pros here in a fraction of the time as with other forums. Here's my question for those of you working with video software. Prior to Magix buying Sony Vegas, you could integrate functionality between Vegas and Hitfilm Express. After Magix, no mas...(I'm leaving out the details because you already know all this) I'm seeing conflicting posts that there are hacks to make Vegas recognize Hitfilm formats, but then there's a contradicting post somewhere else. So, before I go down a rabbit hole, I thought I'd ask this group since many of you do video as well. What is the current answer and hack for HF Express v 13.1 and Vegas Pro 13? Many thanks! Stephen
