  1. Hello, I'm new to Cakewalk with almost no experience and when I open Cakewalk, I get this popup: I'm using ASIO but I don't know which driver I should be using. And also, I don't get any sound from Cakewalk, and I think that this is the problem. By the way, I've been using this computer as a Minecraft server but maybe that has nothing to do with this problem. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello everyone. I bought recently Komplete Audio 2 and I am not sure if set it up correctly. In the FIRST PHOTO I've got checked ASIO4ALL KA2 input and output. Shouldn't it be the one below? This ,,Komplete Audio ASIO Driver''? I can't even choose it. Don't know why. Ok now take a look at SECOND PHOTO. Every audio track must be KA2 1 + KA2 2 as input and output to master, am I right? Also could you check if input and output in the THIRD PHOTO is ok? It's a MIDI track. And please tell me is everything okay on the FOURTH PHOTO. ps one last question for people who got maschine sampler. did you also had problem with maschine crashing the whole time? like cpu is suddenly rising up and the sound is just crashing
  3. 'ello everyone, I'm new(ish) in these parts. As far as all things Cakewalk go, I'm a bit of a 'legacy act' -Lolz I've just switched from Sonar X3 to the bandLab outfit, which seems real nice in comparison, but as fate would have it (always), I'm 'busting my knuckles' already. Everything seems good and well, other than the driver config/settings. When I set it to ASIO, which is the proper mode for my get up, I don't see the proper inputs. The input selection window doesn't look right, I don't have the same 64 i/o's as before, and only show only 3. When I pick a 'lesser' driver mode, I see my input options as I'm supposed to, and can attempt to track, but pops and clicks abound (even with a buffer/latency increase). I'm running a Win 8.1 x64, i7 Quad 3.4, 8g Antelope Orion Studio HD I was tracking just fine in Sonar X3, fyi. Any help you fine folks can offer is MUCH appreciated! You know how it goes... of course I'm at the tail end of a tune. And if I can re-track the scratch bass line minus the crotchety clicks, she just might be a banger !! Thank you kindly good people, Ron
  4. Title says it pretty much. On REAPER, you have a text box you can enter the exact sample value. On CbB, you have this slider that either goes too fast and it's imprecise or extremely slow if you use the arrow keys. Is there another way? I usually keep the latency low for recording, then bump it up for mixing/mastering.
  5. 1. Download & install VB-Cable Driver (free) from VB-Audio Software … https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/ 2. Open WINDOWS Sound Settings and select SOUND CONTROL PANEL. Set Browser/YouTube and CAKEWALK input/output as follows: (Note the CABLE settings) NOTE: After recording session ends, change output settings in Browser/YouTube back to SPEAKERS. 6. In CAKEWALK, open the PREFERENCES window and set as follows: In AUDIO PLAYBACK & RECORDING, set DRIVER MODE = WASAPI (Shared) In AUDIO DEVICES: INPUT DRIVERS = Cable Output 1/2 & 3/4, OUTPUT DRIVERS = Speakers (in my system = 3 Audiobox USB 96) Click APPLY and OK to close PREFERENCES. 7. In CAKEWALK In the newly added track, set track input = Stereo Cable Output 1/2, click arm for record. In the top toolbar, click RECORD.
  6. I just installed Cakewalk on my new pc. I can't seem to get the sound to play through my computer into my headphones. For a time it came through my monitor's built in speakers but after messing with speakers that is gone too. Sound works from youtube and games and such as desired, I just can't get cakewalk to send audio there. Any ideas? Here are my screen shots
  7. Hello. I am, for the most part, new to Cakewalk and DAW's in general and I can't seem to get any sound out of Cakewalk no matter what I do. I do not have a separate audio card and I am just using my windows computer's sound card for now. I know that the sound doesn't work because I've tried messing around with the virtual instruments but I have had no luck. I can't seem to hear anything from cakewalk. I've tried changing the Driver Mode many times, I've tried changing the sampling rate and using the Wave Profiler to verify the sample rate. I've tried to make sure that I have the Correct Input and Output devices checked. It feels like I've tried everything and still no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
