  1. I just installed cakewalk and I was getting this error message so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again but this issue is still persisting. I am not able to fix this problem. I tried to search it on YT as well but I didnt get any result. While the install wizard I selected the basic option as well to get it downloaded and my VST plugin folder is in the C drive as well. I am totally lost on whats happening. Any help on how I should get rid of this issue and how should I configure my OS to run it will be appreciated. Also I am running a windows 11 Home version
  2. Hello forum friends, I'm a first-time Cakewalk user attempting to use the software to overdub parts as part of a distance-dispersed multitrack project. I've got a computer running Win 10, a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4, and some instruments connected to the interface's inputs 3 and 4 via a mixer. During installation, CakewalkSetup displays an Audio Driver Error dialog and tells me that "the following driver does not support the current audio format or are in use by another application" and lists "Speakers (Focusrite Usb Audio) as the offending driver. I have the choice of disabling the driver or using it anyway. The dialog suggests visiting www.cakewalk.com/support/hardwaresetup/, but that page doesn't refer to Cakewalk. How do I get Cakewalk and the Scarlett 4i4 working with each other? Thanks, Ben
  3. Good afternoon fellow Walkers... I've been using Cakewalk and Sonar for years - recently started using Cakewalk for bandlab... I'm rusty and there are differences. I bought a Nautilus and using USB midi interface. Focusrite 2i2. I've configured CW for Nautilus - numerous times. I even got to make the keyboard trigger SI1 drums today and record a track. BUT - when I go to use the internal sounds of the Nautilus - the board is SILENT - no sound. And only way I've been able to get the sound back is to reboot the keyboard - which takes many minutes. Anyone have similar circumstances? Am I missing something simple? Thanks, Steve
  4. Hi , Can you tell me how to stop creating <AUDIO EXPORT> directory automatically in my midi directory every time I double click a midi file to play it with cakewalk? Thanks!

  6. I want to make mastering of piano music. These will be piano pieces. Each will last from two to three minutes. I will combine these pieces into the album. The album will have from eight to ten pieces. The finished recording will have only a piano - one instrument. After mastering I will upload the finished recordings to different music sites - this will be the only way to distribute these recordings. There will no be physical media - CD, DVD - in distribution. Next I will make new piano pieces. I will make budget from tasks solving. First - what I need to solve the task? Next - how much money I need for it. I want to build a computer for Cakewalk. I will use Windows 10 Home 64-bit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I discussed "How much SSDs to use on computer for Cakewalk?" here: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/19334-how-much-ssds-to-use-on-computer-for-cakewalk/ Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions. I took into consideration. My main conclusion: I will use two SSD. First SSD. Disk C on it. On disk C - Windows 10 Home 64-bit, applications including Cakewalk. Second SDD. Disk D on it. On disk D - current project work files. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next I discussed "Overclocked RAM or not for Cakewalk?" here https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/19444-overclocked-ram-or-not-for-cakewalk/ Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions. I took into attention. My main conclusion: I will not use overclocked RAM. I will use traditional RAM: for example Crucial CT 3200 MHz, Kingston KVR 3200 MHz. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- At that topic abacab have wrote: At that topic I have wrote that I want to make mastering of piano music. Next I asked: abacab asked me clarifying question: I can describe how I want to do. I will do it in this topic. I agree with abacab: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, I want to make experiment: what way will be suitable for my musical art tasks? Some piano pieces will be in Rondo musical form. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rondo Some in Binary musical form. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_form Some in Ternary form. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ternary_form Some pieces will be Fantasia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantasia_(music) Some will be Scherzo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scherzo Some pieces will be Waltz. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waltz_(music) Some will be Polka. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polka Some will be Romance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_(music) Every pieces will last from two to three minutes. What is the best technical way for me to express my musical ideas? I want to fit technical requirements of musical sites on which I will distribute my music. For experiment I will use all variants you listed. I will use scheme: first variant - few compositions, second variant - another few compositions, third variant - another few compositions. Next I will analyze result and will make conclusion which way is suitable for me. Do I understand right way: Virtual Instrument piano in the box - it is VSTi? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Studio_Technology
  7. Hi everyone, I'm an amateur player and self-producer of my own songs and a very well satisfied user of CBB I bought few weeks ago this Roland midi keyboard/controller (formerly of the Cakewalk family); It's a very nice product but I wonder how to configure its ACT properties since this device is not (strangely) present in the dropdown menu of the ACT configuration. Should I configure each button manually? An advice about how to do it would be very appreciated anyway EDIT: in the Roland support webpage, I found those 2 possibilities that maybe can help: - A-PRO Series Control Surface Plug-in for SONAR https://www.roland.com/it/support/by_product/a-300pro/updates_drivers/81c44b5d-6d6d-4f89-9eeb-4ce56e848573/ I proceeded with the download and I got a zip file containing a program (to be executed for install) in order to configure the A300pro with Sonar... should it still work with CBB? - A-PRO Series Preset Control Map v1.10 https://www.roland.com/it/support/by_product/a-300pro/updates_drivers/39794206-4104-4574-ba77-2c4e715c7bc5/ the zip file seems to contain mappings for Cubase, GarageBand, Live, Logic Pro, SD-50, Gm2 but not for CBB thanks in advance for your help... ciao ricky
