  1. By sheer coincidence I happened to be working on my version of this Beatles song when I spotted @steve@baselines.com's version. I think I've previously posted my "archive" tape recording from the late 90s, long before I could use something like a DAW. I've never been able to match that vocal performance, and now, with AI, I'm delighted to have been able to isolate it from the tape recording and use it in this project. A lot of the sounds come from my vintage Yamaha PSR-SQ16 but there are new drums, bass and strings. Comments welcomed. https://www.bandlab.com/post/0008bd79-0e8a-ee11-b75e-000d3a428fff
  2. Dave Overland sings on this one. One of my favorite songs from the Revolver album. I used the Capitol Compressor on the mix buss - what a great plugin - the saturation knob does wonders I think. I also sent vocals to the ReelADT plugin from waves and the Hitsville reverb chambers from UA. https://baselines.com/?p=6931
  3. With the new release of the Revolver album (with alternate versions), I finally got around to covering Eleanor Rigby - I've been wanting to do it for a while. I hope you like it and thank you for listening. https://baselines.com/?p=6672
  4. I recorded this several months ago, the first song I played since stopping playing for more than two decades due to tendonitis, so there's a lot of pent of energy in this performance (and zero chops!) -- for better or worse. I had a blast recording this and the original tracks were just me contemplating if I should try to sing this, I didn't actually plan on sharing this version, but I ended up having such enthusiasm, I thought, why not? My greater dilemma is that I don't know anything about mixing and there's a lot going on there, so I'm sure the mix is pretty terrible. I could use some very simple mixing tip as I think I did a decent job with this performance, I just have no idea how to mix it. https://soundcloud.com/user-345532605/i-am-the-walrus-the-beatles-cover-remixed
  5. My son helped me set up his video server at home and connect it to use my phone as a camera. In my back yard, a robin built a nest under my picnic table. I set up the phone to capture the videos that you can see below. I included my version of Blackbird as the music accompaniment. It wasn’t long enough, so I added in a reversed section in the middle to space it out. You can see close to the end that one of the robins was none too happy with the phone capturing his actions. He gives it the evil eye and then flies into it. Today, the nest is empty and the young ones are flying around.
  6. I found this video that was posted by Richard Buskin. I think he took an official video and put his audio to it. I took the audio out and put my version of Because. I play instruments and do some vocals on it and @kiwichrys (from Bandlab) adds more vocals. She did all 9 vocal tracks as I also did...but she handles the high McCartney part better.
  7. This is a cover of a Harrison song from 1987. @mojoespage from Bandlab did most of it. I added piano and he asked me to sing, believe it or not. https://baselines.com/?p=5785
  8. Come Together I recorded this in my car (1 take) with the Bandlab mobile app! The isolation of the vocal seemed to be better than in some rooms I've used
  9. For fun. I needed to record something since it has been so long since I clicked the red button. Thanks for listening. http://jmasno5.com/index.php#rainlink
  10. After listening to the Analogues on youtube doing the whole White Album live (!!!) - I did this cover of Martha My Dear. Italy, Germany, England and USA checking in! @sibviolin violins, @michelefortunato trombones, @azzronika vocals and myself to round it out. #beatles #rock #horns #violins #iinternationalcollab https://baselines.com/?p=5564
  11. Here's my version of this classic. Be forewarned, I am not a vocalist, but I try hard. Thanks for listening! https://baselines.com/?p=5475
  12. Hello - longtime Sonar user, just found these forums, so I'll give this a try. Here's a link to a new cover done by Bandlab friends. @thelonewulfproject, @kiwichrys and myself @steve2k2. http://baselines.com/?p=4765
