  1. I have been working on a project for a game I'm creating and all has been going smoothly for the most part. However, recently I got an error message related to drivers (I don't remember what it said exactly and it only came up once) and after clicking past it my project no longer plays. Nothing pops up on the sliders during playback, I can't play anything through instruments outside of playback, and the audio engine icon is grey/off and won't turn back on under any circumstances. Oddly enough though, I am able to export the midi and audio from the project in question to a new project and everything plays just fine. Old projects playback perfectly with the same driver settings as well. Every project I have played as expected except for this one. Things I've tried: Clicking the reset button next to the audio engine icon. Changing the audio devices around. Both input and output. Changing the Driver setting master devices and mixing latency buffer size. Changing the Diver/Driver mode used to WASAPI(What I normally use), ASIO, MME, and WDM. Saving the project as a separate copy. Saving the project as a .cwb file instead of a .cwp file. Restarting the computer. None of which has succeeded in bringing my project back to life. As I was able to export the midi and audio I can gain back a small amount of progress but as that doesn't transfer over my plugin settings, FX stacks, or my automation, I'm losing lots of time and the arrangements of everything that was exported out is pretty wonky as well. So if anyone has some suggestions on getting my original project working or exporting everything in a way that saves my progress more effectively would be very appreciative. P.S.: I can't publish the project to Band Lab because it is too large and has too many tracks.
  3. Hello All, This is my first post here (again, 'Hi'). I felt compelled to post after what I've experienced yesterday with my Cakewalk software. I went to play a file that I've been working on, and there was a sudden feedback loop which just grew louder and louder until I stopped the Audio Engine altogether. I then: Moved my speaker a further distance Restarted the software Checked my Sound volume level settings Disabled my mic altogether The final action stopped the feedback, and the music played normally. But later last night... I went to listen to the tracks again. This time however as the Play button is clicked the entire project immediately stuttered very quickly and loudly (like a badly damaged CD!). After several blind attempts to get it to play normally, I shut the program down for the night. My only guess of what to do next is to copy my project files out and uninstall/reinstall Cakewalk. I have, as of yesterday, installed the most recent updates btw, but it doesn't seem to effect this issue. I welcome any suggestions of what else the issue may be. I own an HP ENVY Lapto, 17-ae1xx Card name and Chip type: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 BIOS: F.24 (type: UEFI) Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit 500 GB (115 used) I'm not sure what other info may be useful, so please let me know. Thank you so much.
  4. Hi Everyone, Hoping someone can assist me with an issue I'm having in Cakewalk 2020.09 version. My total project has about 67 Tracks. 3 of those tracks have Take Lanes which have not yet been committed (Flatten) as I'm currently working on comps for various background vocal harmonies. The tracks are as follows: Track 55 has 15 Take Lanes Track 56 has 31 Take Lanes Track 57 has 63 Take Lanes The playback audio engine worked excellent when playing the entire project until I finished recording Track 57's 63 Lanes. After recording and hitting playback, the Audio Engine Drops Out about 2 seconds in. I did not have this issue before recording the last Track's takes. I noticed if I Archive Track 57 the entire project plays smoothly again with no issues. I haven't been able to figure out which Take Lane(s) within Track 57 are causing the issue. Anyone else ever experienced this? Here are my system specs: Cakewalk by Bandlab 2020.09 ROG Rampage V Edition 10 Motherboard Intel 17-6950X CPU 10 Core/ 20 Thread/ 40 Lanes 128GB G. 5. So I have a recently built PC running with an AMD Ryzen 2600 and 64G of Ram with the SSL2+ with all drivers updated. Bandlab was running incredibly efficiently until up until the recent update. Here's what's happening. When I open a project, large or small, the audio engine is stopped. When i press play, the application hangs and hangs for a good while and I get the 'Unable to open audio record device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use.' message. After I close that message, the application appears to be working normally, I can move the cursor around and hover etc. but the audio engine is still not enabled. My workaround has been to go into my driver settings and re-choose ASIO (even though it's already selected). Once I do this, the application again hangs for a good while (maybe 30 seconds or more). Then I'm able to click 'Apply' (then it'll hang again) and after the hang click 'Close' and then the audio engine will be okay unless I click on any windows folder outside of the app. Once BL is finally open, it does work as it should, but it will at times all of a sudden just hang and I have to repeat the above process. I have the sample rate set to 44.1 throughout my entire system, no drivers shared, no other audio devices active except the SSL. When i test the SSL, it's working properly outside of CW. Very frustrating and time consuming when it was running like a dream weeks ago!
