    I've found the freeware MP3TAG https://www.mp3tag.de/en/ very useful for adding tags (including ISRC) to audio files (MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc.). FYI.

    Thank you. Not a plugin preset, an export preset. But I suspect these are also stored in the registry and not easily extracted.

    I wanted to give my colleague an export preset I devised. Are they stored somewhere? Or can be exported like plugin presets? Searched the documentation and the forums without luck. Thanks.

    Thanks. I use a project template, but often add more tracks than I have saved in the template. Guess I'll try and get used to using more track templates. (Thanks Mark.) It occurs to me that another approach would be the ability to re-order or edit the list of available MIDI inputs so that my preferred one is at the top....

    When I add a new MIDI track the input is automatically set to "Omni". I have to change this each time to my preferred input. Is there a way to set a particular input as the default for new tracks? Thanks.

    Maybe one of your FX plugins have somehow lost authorization? I know there are protection systems which mute audio periodically if the software is unlicensed. Could this be a variation of that??

    If it's recognised by Windows, it must be a Cakewalk issue, don't you think? Try another DAW? Reaper is small and easy to install. If it sees the MOTU, you know it's Cakewalk.

    When you install a new version it copies settings. So the process for syncing is already in there somewhere?

    I had the same result (doubled notes) when using the default midi input ("all inputs omni", I think). If I change that to the actual midi keyboard input I use, I only get single notes. Something being echoed? I haven't found out. There's a CAL script, undupe.cal, that will easily fix already recorded doubles.

    As well as Wavelab, the time stretching/shrinking in Izotope RX is pretty good. Uses the Radius algorithm, FWIW.

    I run both those plugins on a Win7 machine with no problems, albeit with 32 GB of RAM. Don't think the OS is your problem. They do seem to be greedy, so maybe more RAM is worth trying? But a single instance on a track vs. a single instance on a bus wouldn't make any difference to the resources needed, would it? Multiple track instances, yes.

To be clear: I need to use Bandlab Assistant, find the setup file, then move it to the DAW? I can't download the setup file directly? Cheers.

    Thank you for enabling offline authorization. As my DAW computer is permanently offline, what is the process for downloading and installing this version? Can I directly download the installer on an internet-connected PC? Thanks.

    What are you using for live input? It's plugged into the MIDI input on the UMC404 (not directly connected via USB)?

    I use Voxengo Sound Delay, a free plugin, for this type of thing, e.g. aligning a mic'ed bass guitar with the simultaneously recorded DI track. https://www.voxengo.com/product/sounddelay/ Should work for your chorus effect?

    In the View menu, open the Markers view. Highlight the marker you want to delete, hit the delete key. There may be other ways...?
